Re: 5 minutes between runs
I think it boils down to driver and grid person responsibility. Without looking it up, I assume the 5 minute rule is not a required part for local events. The grid person needs to be flexible to send another car/line if necessary to keep event flow going. Drivers need to let the grid person know in ...

Re: Can I run Novice? Tire suggestions
Hello, Am I allowed to run Novice class? I haven't autocrossed in close to 10 years now. Looking at the new car classes..., my head hurts. Anyways, What I really need are tire recommendations. What is a good autocross/track day tire in a 285/30-20 F 305/30-20 R fitment. Or would I be okay to run a ...

RUN ORDER UPDATE
Update. Run groups 1 and 4 ended up very unbalanced, it was necessary to move AS and STR from Run 1 / Work 3, to Run 4 / Work 2.

Re: Cal Club sticker?
There should be an envelope in the registration box with some. A few different sizes and black or white text. And I'll custom make any size you want. I'll look for them on Saturday, can make more Saturday night if needed. Was hoping to have some time to make some more so they would be available for ...

Re: Solo Nats Tire Transport
Keep an eye out for a transporter thread, I assume there will be one this year as usual. That's often a good way to do it by putting your tires into one of the cars on the transporter, which usually arrives for the Pro and leaves after Friday.

Actually you can choose "none" for your first year, but I expect you may be courted by a couple of clubs. I'd pit them against each other to get the best benefits. ;)Shane Donahue wrote: I've been doing some reading, and apparently I have to choose a club? are bribes involved?

Plus the cost of a place to store it. But I know a truck driver who might use it when we aren't. I wonder how much income it could actually generate.....Craig Naylor wrote:Considering y'all pay about $10k a year... it would only take 3-4 yrs for it to pay for itself (adding driver/fuel costs to the asking price).

Re: 2018 Lone Pine Time Trial, May 18-20
Rick, Where do I find the results from Saturday? Unfortunately we don't have a place to post them yet. The old FTP site I used to upload to went bye-bye. Which is why the CalClub results are in a new place. When we find a spot, the link on the Lone Pine web site will then take you there. Rick, if y...

Last day to pre-register for Lone Pine Time Trials! The clean up crew put in a lot of work 2 weekends ago to clear weeds and patch holes. As a bonus, the LA Dept of Water & Power, who owns the area, is providing a street sweeper to clean off the course for us this year!! You will still get para...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
One last question. When does one stop signing up as novice? Is it after your first event or?? Novice is optional. You don't have to run there at all. Kinda depends on where you are at when you first start. If you are winning, there is a year end award and it only takes 6 events instead of 10+ for r...

Help with a Hotspot

I don't remember a local protest, anyone remember the last one? Not in my memory, which goes waaaaay back, although admittedly spotty in places....... Despite having a procedure in our supps, it has always been up to competitors in a class to "self regulate" (take the offender out behind ...
