fancy resistor calculator here tells me that i need a 1/2W (RS has fairly limited spectrum of resistors) for 3.3v LED with a 9v battery. the thing is, the LED package says : " FW supply: 3.3v (typical), 3.6v (max). if i plug 3.6 into that same calc, i get 1/4W. which should i go with (1/2 or 1...

i'm suprised it's doing anything they way you have it hooked up. :lol:

go buy as close to a 228ohm resistor that is greater then .145 watt and hook it up in series with a 9v battery.

7cd should be decently bright.

it would be interesting if the location was determined based upon weighed average of previous year's champions. ie, bring up a map, start from the center of the US, and pull the dot closer to each of the champion dots. you get 90% of the champs from Southwest, and suddenly the nationals is in AZ!.....
