Re: Beginner Tires

I'm currently running on 615's and I'm troubled on choosing my next tire as it is very well ending near. I have been advised to not get a very good set of autocross tires as a beginner because it is not a good idea as it will hide many of my mistakes. 2009 will be my first season and I will have tw...

Re: Cal Club Rallies?

Two of my friends just bought a shop from one of the top Rally drivers in America, Blake Yoon. I would love to get into rally racing, but I don't have a car that i'm willing to put into a tree.

Re: Ryan Buetzer, Racing Under Green TV

I read something about the Jetta TDI Series just recently. Very competitive series from what I could gather based on the strict limitations of what each team could do to their car. I'm willing to bet in 50 years there will be a hybrid vehicle racing series

Re: WTB competition tires.

i remember the michelin all seasons my car came with from the factory. ditched them after about 5,000 miles. any summer tire will be a substantial upgrade, but i have no idea what kind of tires work well on VW's.

Re: Calling all UC Berkeley Fans

I'm kind of in the same boat right now. At Santa Monica College planning on transferring to another school within the next year for mechanical engineering or physics with a minor in business marketing. If he's a conservative, like myself, I would strongly advise against Berkley. A friend of mine gra...

lol guess i will show up then regardless of weather conditions. i'll just bring a couple extra pairs of shoes/socks, some dry clothes, and of course an umbrella. do different tire pressures come into play with the rain?

In Case of Rain?

I checked weather.com's 10 day report for Fontana and its almost guaranteed to rain. Is it worth it to come out to the event if it rains or is it a drag?

Re: Sylmar Fire

i was outside for the majority of the night in west LA and its scary how strong the scent of smoke is probably 30 miles from the nearest fire. I was at "The Stairs" in Santa Monica right by PCH and Pacific Palisades and the orange haze was not good for my asthma. After doing cardio for an...

These fires are scary. I've only seen footage, but I'm glad to live in Culver City which is nowhere near the fire zones. Thoughts and prayers are out to those who are affected or can potentially be affected.

Re: New WRX

If you think the new WRX has no low end grunt , you should have tried our old style WRX's before we made them STX competitors! Unfortunately with the newer models 2.5 liter engine ... they have to go into STU, where so far they haven't been able to compete with STI's, even though they weight 300 lb...
