If you have off on Friday's the El Toro Test n Tune will have a 1-5pm Test n Tune course, some practice runs before the big show and you could probably get a couple of ride alongs or an instructor to help. This friday? or every friday? I'm sorta confused? http://www.thewebwheeler.com/forums/images/...

Re: Are there any Los Angeles area events?
You sign up for a practice, next on is Saturday, September 27, 2008. Should pretty pretty easy to get into since it's RIGHT after Nationals. Unfortunately that means there will probably not be a lot of National types there to instruct. So you can only practice at practice events? & what about w...

I dont like the idea of getting in an accedent with one of those.
Sure its says it has a cage & such....
But it would kinda be like me kicking a foot ball if a big rig hit one of those.

Re: Are there any Los Angeles area events?
I just found the Calendar.. Thanks guys.
So are many of you gonna go to the July 18th-20th event at el toro?
How does someone like myself go about going out there & just practicing?
Being I've never done this before?
I'm not ready to race yet, But I'd like to get a feel for it.

Big enough lots, willing lot owners, lack of neighbors who will raise holy hell over the noise. As for number of events, 12-14 is about all a volunteer organization can put on without burning out core people or having events lose money because of low turnout. Where can I see a list of all the SoCal...

Whats the best cheap used car to buy for AutoCross?
I've been wondering what would be the best from the factory cheap used car that would be worth buying if one was considering a DD & Racer? I've been thinking alot lately about getting a 4 cylinder car to save on gas & all. But of course this is sorta my excuse to feed my addiction to cars. h...

Re: What will it take to start racing my Covertable Mustang?
You're allowed to have a roll bar in any class, and it may be bolt or weld in (see 13.2H). You'll have to do some research to find the actual specs. Our normal referance guy around here is John Coffey. I would assume 1.75 x 120 mild steel is ok for the tubing you're not required to have one until y...

Re: What will it take to start racing my Covertable Mustang?
Probably in September the Toyo R1R will be out in a 225-45-15 That will be an SK legal tire locally, and might work really well on your car and stock rims. It'll be shorter than stock by a lot giving better gearing and also lower the car. They won't be long lasting but they are RELATIVELY cheap. I ...

Re: What will it take to start racing my Covertable Mustang?
To help you class your car we would need to know what size engine it has since that seems to be the defining factor between it being in FS or GS. 1st off let me thank you for the links. I wonder, I have a rule book thats probably 5 or so years old, might it be worth reading or is it too out dated? ...
