Re: Lone Pine Time Trials - June 5-6th, 2010
It was a great event - Bret and I had a blast. A big thank you to all of the people who worked so hard to make it happen. Rick - are you going to be posting results, and, if so, when and where? Thanks again for a great weekend. Phil I'll post a link to the results here, probably later tonight. Pati...

Re: Time Trails/PDX
Per Gayle's first post, "At the June event at Auto Club Speedway group 4 is devoted to Time Trials. Time Trials for this event include PDX and Club Trials. The difference is PDX is focused on high performance driving and lots of instructor time and Club Trials is timed (if you want) and instruc...

Sorry that you have had a bad experience with Dell. I have had 4 Dell systems, laptop and desktop, with several issues between them - all handled promptly and satisfactorily under service contracts. The company I work with is all Dell - no major problems. YMMV...

1980 - Long Beach Memorial Stadium. In fact within two months in 1980, I participated in my first autocross, went through the Solo 1 school and drove 14 hours to a hillclimb in Eureka, CA. Do you think Craig wanted to make sure I was hooked on the sport. The Safety Steward instruction in Bob Jardin...

Extended Service Contracts
Anybody out there have any thoughts / knowledge on extended service (warranty) companies? In particular, any feedback on the Total Shield company / products?
Thanks for any info.

Re: Engine (re)builder recommendations?
We had to replace the motor in our Miata last year just before the Pro. We just primed the oil system and fired it up. We were only able to put about 500 miles on it to "break it in" before the tour, but we have had no problems - it runs strong and quiet. It is the fastest, easiest, and ma...

Re: Confirmed Entrants: Solo School Nearly Full
Well, since my loaner Miata fell through (bad clutch), I will be renting a car for the school. Anyone have any suggestions for a rental (available at ONT or nearby) that would be best for someone who usually competes in a Miata? My son will be driving ours. I am thinking of a Mustang but would appre...

Re: Clarification for Solo School Entry Process
My son Bret and I are both interested - but we only have 1 Miata between us. I have considered renting a car for myself, but I would like something similar to the Miata. Would anybody be interested in renting out a Miata for the day? I will pay reasonable to generous rental rates, indemnify against ...

Re: What's the lightest trailer for a C5 Z-06 ?
Have you considered a tow bar (and maybe an extra set of wheels / tires) and flat towing the Miata? No tongue weight issues, and much more within the towing capacity of the Previa.

Re: Entry List for 25th July El Toro Practice (CASOC)
+1 for SDR - they not only fill up later, their Champ events usually give you four runs. Here is a link - there are currently still openings for the August practice. Aside from a great group of people, there is always a decent lunch truck on site.... http://www.sdsolo.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2075...

Re: 2009 Lone Pine Time Trials
This thread is not resolving my issues - does anybody know what is going to be required / enforced this year at Lone Pine??? It is a moot point for me, as I am out of the car for several months due to breaking my kneecap coming off my mountain bike last week. My son Bret was still planning on runnin...
