Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

Bushings cant contain more metal than stock, so poly or delrin is fine, but all metal is not. I believe Super Street Modified is the next step in the ladder (350z is 2 seater right?), but your car and prep level would probably be more competitive in BSP. 350z is 2 seater. i signed up for CSP for th...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

Kris: I believe BSP is the correct class. Edit: Not sure on the "Solid" bushings, what are they? oh.. i thought clutch, lightweight flywheel, and polyurethane/solid bushings would bump me up a class from BSP. i have solid bushings for the compression arm.http://www.splparts.com/chassis-Z3...

Re: need to tap a bolt hole

A Helicoil uses an STI thread. This is different than anything that'll be in that set. The correct tap, and maybe drill (It's been a while) should be in the Helicoil set when and if you buy one. However, the HF tap and die set would be fine if the thread just needs chasing. How did this happen? Did...

Re: need to tap a bolt hole

you are correct, mark. it's the aluminum bolt hole in the car. i realized that i'll most likely HAVE to use the heil coil to keep the same bolt size because bigger than this bolt head may interfere with the pan itself. i heard the size is 10x1.25 but i'll DD check later. This is kind of scary to wor...

need to tap a bolt hole

does anyone by any chance know how to tap a bolt hole for the oil pan? (the bolts that hold the pan). if so, could you give me tips on doing this? i'm not 100% sure but the size is around 10x1.25
I stripped one of the bolts, and there's a small oil leak.
i never tapped a bolt hole before..
thanks.

WTB) cheap cheap 17x8 or wider wheels 5x114.3

I'm looking for some super cheap rims, or with tires for drift spares. 17x8 or wider. Under +35 offset. 5x114.3 bolt pattern.
OR a pair of 18x8.5 or wider works too.
thanks!

I also have vinyl floor tiles you can use to easily create a level pad for your car, and I'll be working on alignment and suspension at my house tomorrow night and Friday night, if you want to stop by.
