JDP Program Temporarily Suspended
I just got off the phone with Rick Meyers (Region Development Manager, SCCA) and Brian Harmer (Solo & Rally Program Manager, SCCA). They are reaching out to each region individually to inform us that for the moment we are suspending the JDP program. Apparently there is a concern on specific guidelin...

Re: Novice
How old is your daughter? If under 18, we'll need to let you know about the minor waiver procedures. My son just turned 16. He's run Karts since his 5th birthday, but this season we're co-driving a car. Pretty cool to do that! To add to Steve's comment. We need a minor waiver signed by both parents...

Re: First time with Cal Club Autocross: April Test N Tune
Yes, we do allow adult passengers. If they aren't a driver in the event, all we ask is that they come sign our passenger book and get a yellow wristband (free) at the registration table. If you're running for points, you can't ride before your competition runs (but if you're just out for fun and not...

Welcome Robert. You'll love running the car with your kid. I've been running with my kid for years now, and it's been absolutely great! We have an event this weekend. If you want to jump in, I'd recommend signing up....right now: https://solo2.motorsportreg.com/events/cal-club-autocross-event-test-n...

We typically try to do a novice course walk on Saturday's too (if we have interest...which we usually do). Either way, if you need in any help at any of our events (as a newbie or otherwise), just let us know (anyone on the event staff) and we'll be happy to answer questions, help find you some inst...

Welcome Freddy! Make sure you let us know it's your first time. We have lots of friendly folks that are very happy to help new folks join in on the fun. Also, just FYI, if we have enough interest, we'll typically try to do a free Fun Run session after the regular event ends on Sundays. No cost for e...

Re: Test and tune Registration question - 2 driver car
Hey Dan, No problem sharing the car and each getting a full set of runs. If you could let me know the other driver's name (PM here, or via the "question for the registrar" link on MSR), we can ensure you get put into complementary run groups that will allow you to share the car and ride with each ot...

Event times are posted on the registration page as always. Ed will send out the confirmation emails after registration closes as we've always done (and typically that will include the run groups based upon registration counts).

Re: Nov 9/10: Daylight Savings Time
Our schedule will be worked out around the available daylight. We usually wait till we see total sign up counts and work the day out accordingly. We also take course change over into account. Sunrise is 6:15 and sunset is 4:51....but we need to see how many total sign ups before we commit to 2 or 3 ...

IMHO, if you're going to come out Saturday at all, sign up, bring your car and drive! Saturday is our "test n tune" practice day. Plenty of opportunities to get rides with other drivers, and get instruction (we have a crew of awesome drivers that are more than happy to help "newbies" out)....

Bumping this thread back to the top!
We're still looking for a Worker Chief and some course set up help. Also have an opening for some help with the hospitality tent set up. And Kyle is pinging for some folks to assist in Tech (another thread).
Looking forward to a fun weekend!

Course Set Up Help Needed Friday - Aug 24-25, 2019 Event
Hey Cal Club Family! We're looking for some course set up help this Friday and for change over Saturday after the event. Attention Autocrossers: We're looking for one (or a team so you can get a ride home) skilled autocrosser to drive the Cal Club RV back to it's temporary home in Fontana after the event (an RV storage lot about 2 miles north of Auto Club Speedway). This is your chance to demonstrate some serious expe...

Howard....your Z06 won't be a problem. If your buddy's car is a problem, we'll do what we can to resolve the issue (but I can't imagine any Corvette being all that loud unless highly modified). The rules outlined here are inline with National level events, and they aren't typically kicking cars out ...

Re: Aug. 3-4, 2019 Santa Anita Park Event
Well, I really like the location, it will cut my driving time down a lot. Is this going to be the permanent location or will we still be going to Fontana at the end of the month. How big is the lot?? Will we still be able to have same basic course setups and run times?? DH A lot is still up in the ...
