Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
Give it a rest George.... Gesh..... And even mentioning 3 runs in a dying region with consistently less than 125 entrants should immediately lead to some dire punishment like being forced to run your CM car covered in I'mWithHer bumper stickers. Average number of entries in 2017 was 155 with a medi...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
the goal really isn't to pack up at noon or 1 pm. the goal is to stop running hugely inefficient events so that we can get more runs. I'd like to see us move in the direction of having a morning session and an afternoon session where everyone has the option to drive in both. it would probably requi...

Re: 2017 Event Run Time Statistics
Feedback from other regional organizers (Milwaukee, Wash DC, etc.) show that they typically are able to churn out anywhere from +950 to 1300 runs in a one day event. If we could reach close to the 1200 runs per day level of efficiency, we would be able to provide either 4 runs per driver up to 300 d...

Why? Events with low RPH would also indicate long work groups.Jayson Woodruff wrote:How about a work group duration stat.

Focusing on increasing our RPH should benefit many aspects of the experience of our events in general.

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
I would also like to see a keep "the December format option with fun runs". I find that not including it shows your personal bias and doesn't leave a possible choice And the poll question you proudly wave wasn't biased. If it had said, "Would you like to see the December format used for future even...

This Dewalt is my favorite. It has been used on countless wheel changes, other mechanical jobs, and general house use. The batteries last forever and the gun has enough torque to break free lugs so the whole wheel change process is quicker and takes less effort. https://www.amazon.com/DEWALT-DCF880H...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
What is the deal with the last poll option?: "Cut back to three runs to reduce the overall time commitment and keep the December format" Was there a motion to move runs to 3 vs 4 for the half day format? I know I got 4 runs in December. From my understanding, we generally cut runs to 3 when we have ...

Re: 2017 Event Run Time Statistics
Great data!
Is there access to cone count data to compare Sept and Dec events, as they had the highest RPH? December had a high cone count which further slowed the run pace.

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
I think the idea is that thru the annual general election process general membership will be more aware to the issues leadership faces and create additional opportunity to get directly involved. For those "sideline members", not too much will change operations-wise vs an eBoard event, but hopefully ...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
Let's start: Pros (in no particular order): 1) Less confusion from new members regarding purpose of clubs within the regional club (sub-clubs). (as illustrated by various comments in this thread. Please scroll up and read if needed) 2) Potential lower entry fees, due to elimination of need to profit...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
At this point, I hope we can direct the discussion on whether or not moving from the club model to the regional model is what we want to do. If we do move forth with the regional model, we can then start to go over our by-laws and implementation steps in greater detail and revise accordingly to bett...

Please describe to us how a No Club member is represented in the eBoard? Note that there are currently no renewal restrictions on No Club status members. Read my response. Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
One of the reasons for the increase in E-Board hosted events was the cost of renting El Toro, which made profit sharing with the club minimal. Part of the incentive for a club to host an event was that they made money for their members. True about ET, but no denying that a good amount of ACS events...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
I like the new proposal. It should allow for a more accurate representation of current (with the regular rotation) membership voices in leadership decisions. And with basically only 2 clubs doing the volunteering (event hosting) and heavy reliance on E-Board hosted events the current governance mode...

If the sway bar can move relatively smoothly, then check the endlink lengths to make sure preload is removed.
Hopefully, you have adjustable endlinks.

It would be awesome to see CAM type classes offered for the import crowd! Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question
Having auto crossed in other venues the single biggest deterrent I've faced in trying to grow CAM is the number of runs. The second biggest factor is the difficulty of the courses. I struggle the most with understanding the course complexity point of view because its the thing that hooked me right ...

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question
Maybe Craig, you are misunderstanding the wording of the current rules. Guest drivers can still "win" any class they compete in, they just don't get a physical trophy or solo bucks. Results still get published and they can brag all they want. Basically my understanding of the rules is, if a Guest d...
