I'm bring my chains to the event.

This could be a long weekend. It's looking like I will need to chain-up to get my car home Sunday afternoon.

Oh joy!

Re: Class for a 1974 914

Aaron,

The Historic class will be running in the first run-group at the December event, with Doug's help I'm sure we can find a class.

The time Tom posted in your car will be your bench mark, forget the rest of us in the class.

See you there.

Re: Historic class discussion

The Historic class has drawn a "line in the sand". It is the year 1968. My 1976 BMW is allowed to compete as the 2002 model that can trace it's origin to the 1968 start of production. Steve's 1976 Spitfire can trace it's roots to 1963. Ted's 1956 Morgan is still being produced. I am asking...

Re: Historic class discussion

First, thank you for all the input. I am looking to help grow the class before all the drivers are members of AARP, not just the cars. Opening the current Historic class to cars built up to 1982 brings in new blood. Most of these cars were built with the same DNA as thoes produced in the 60's. I off...

Historic class discussion

Historic class update: Supplementary Regulations. This is a local, Cal Club run class that could attract interest for Regional Events. This could increase the car counts and bring out cars from “Mark clubs”. Changed as follows; 1. Stock class: change- Air cleaner (one for each carburetor) must be us...

Re: Stock Market

Everyone, take a deep breath.

There are a few things we all do every day.

1. Turn on the lights.
2. Use the phone.
3. Buy food.
4. Put gas in the car.
5. Brush your teeth.

Pick your company and buy the stock.

It's October: In the mountains we count the days before we smell smoke.

Today the morning started with the smell we dread, from Big Bear.

Please pray for snow, this weekend. It could happen.

I need a new truck.

My Ford F150, '97 with the little V-8 and a 5 speed, gave its life two weeks ago while my wife was driving to work. Mary is fine, and has blessed the search for a replacement. I have the money from the insurance company in my account. I am looking for a F250, 2 wheel drive. Late '80's to early 90's....

Re: Our 335 Coupe....

Steve, The only place you will have any fun with your new toy is at the BMW auto-x's. They all run with the same set of challenges and in the stock class you can not run "R" tires. Think of it as the purfect place to melt the right rear and the out-side edge of both front tires in one even...

Re: Who was your first AutoX instructor?

I see a trend. Mary Rice; I was driving my '64 Elan, 145sr13 Perelli tires on 4.5 rims. The motor had been built with SE cams and the half shafts ran without the rubber glibos. After our first run her onyl comment was: Is'nt trailing throttle over-stear fun! This was in 1985. Today, if you can get B...
