Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.
Ok, Taking Brian's list of cars that can run our local Historic 1 we are embracing displacement larger than 2650 cc? Not sure I get the adjustable spring perch. If I am running a coil over replacement for the stock spring I get the adjustable spring perch? I understand the stock, non adjustable top ...

Re: Historic 1 Proposed Rules change.
Brian and Anthony, This looks like a great start. Given the list of additional cars, I would request the addition of: E21 BMW (all). The cars were produced from 1977-1983. Anthony, The posted attachment makes no mention of tread ware for the tires, will we using those listed as 200 or harder? Under ...

Anthony,
"protest" That would be a very inflammatory term, in the land of "wink-n nod" that is self policing of an auto crossing class , on a local basis.
No, I agree with Bill, this is a set of rules that can't be complied with.

The SCCA has a new sand box. Looks like the players have to bring cars that "Must be licensed and Insured". Oh, and "legal to drive on the roads".

Contact info needed for American Auto-X Series.
Does anyone have a contact for the American Auto-X Series? I am trying to get my hands on the paperwork to complete a Junior wavier to be finished "before" I make the drive. I am willing to bet it will need both parents to sign, but only one of us will be at the event. It would make for a ...

Re: 2020 PAX factors released
Come to think about it someone should convince the SCCA mothership to build a spec class for the Tesla. The shocks and tires would be the key.
I know a shock manufacture that would like to help.

Re: 2020 PAX factors released
I have been on one ride along in a Tesla, at speed. I see what the future is bring us and as much as I was impressed with how fast it can accelerate, to run a season with one your tire budget is going to make the Z06 you really want look doable. Good luck to anyone running in "BS" and not ...

I am signed up and looking forward to the event. If anyone has questions on helping as an instructor, send me a PM and I will give you a call. One of the benefits is not only helping novice drivers but the seat time. I have used my car for the faster laps and have experienced the fun of having the s...

Robert,
The rears on the E21 are the "coil over", the fronts are a MacPherason strut. They returned to a separate rear spring after this car.

Suspension and Steering Allowances • Alternate springs are allowed, but must be of the same type as OE and attach at original locations. It's not that I might spend "lots" of time thinking that this means that coil overs with adjustable spring perches are not legal in "Heritage Classi...
