Re: Good News / Bad News

I've love to see a gas price survey from May 2008. That one is from March 2005.

What do they use gas for in Venezuela? Milka gets hers from the CITGO in Speedway, IN.

Re: Good News / Bad News

Funny the idiot politician on tv yesterday screamed that there was no legal way crude could go up $5 in a single day. That was yesterday's record. Oil up over $11 today. Pretty ridiculous climb. But this isn't 1981. Pullbacks happen, but expensive oil is here to stay Oh yeah.... We should see $4.60 ...

Re: Student with top grades won't be valedictorian?

You don't hear about Reed College much, but its a great school. I was at a reunion dinner for old spooky types, and the conversation turned to alma matars. All top schools. Plenty of Yale and Harvard types. Some Stanford and Berkeley. MIT and Princeton. What surprised me was three guys at the table ...

Re: NO$ Practice Event

Man, where are all the No$ members??? I think we had more No$ members at the CASOC practice. They know its not the old style No$ members kill themselves working all day format, right?

On the positive side, with so few discounted entries, you guys are going to make a killing $$$.

I know Ash's catholic HS quite well.....

Better than a wet t-shirt contest would be a Wet Catholic School Girl contest.... I'm just saying.... I bet Curt, Paul and George will have my back on this call. Might take some heat from the Berry family though.

Re: Student with top grades won't be valedictorian?

Did I mention I punched out a coach and trashed the driving ed car. Oh yeah and hung a kid off a two story balcony.

Not to mention all the great burnout art.

Re: Student with top grades won't be valedictorian?

HS for me was like some sort of geek fantasy dream sequence collaboration between John Hughes and Judd Apatow. I rejected the Caltech at 13 scenario and spent HS staging a nerd coup. I never missed less than 40 days a year, hit a high of 53. Resurrected the drama program and school newspaper. Saved ...

Re: Student with top grades won't be valedictorian?

You have never seen high school administrators as nervous as mine....as I approached the podium to give the valedictorian speech.

I had to submit the speech for approval by the district superintendent of schools. Of course, that was NOT the speech I actually gave. }:)

Re: Trailering your car...

I think featherlite's are considerable lighter than the exact equivalent steel trailer. They have solid decks and such. You can get some pretty light open deck short steel trailers. Mine isn't one of them. Its a carson. I like the trailer. Special ordered. Yeah it was late. Yeah it was wrong....

Re: Who was your first AutoX instructor?

I've told the story many times here, but its still my favorite instructor story. Early on Stacey and I would ocassionally rent cars. Once a cool Lexus SC430 for a 2nd in SM. But usually a v6 automatic Rustang. But we'd put the barracuda's tire and wheels on them. 17x9 lightweight Enkei's and 275 Kum...

Man, you guys in your 4500/5500 and freightliners.... I'm looking at a midsize fifth wheel. There stuff out there 10' longer than what I'm looking at. And although I'm looking for the ability to "move" the road runner. That's a local show or a trip to a shop or detailer where I can always ...
