Actually this is a good point for the ProSolo Rookies.
With the grid format, it's very tough to run the car all by yourself. There is very little time between runs, and even with that time you're scooting up a line and should be thinking about your next run.
So it's strongly suggested that you buddy up with someone who can check your air pressure and report your reaction times and cone calls. This isn't a hard or long job, so you can just grab someone you vaguely recognize just before grid. It'll be just plain stressful if you try to do it yourself.
