FS: Porsche 986/987 Ohlins TTX suspension and sway bar

Post by Mark DeShon »

Well, I absolutely hate to let these goes, but business expense is forcing me to sell my beloved Ohlins TTX 2-way shocks for Porsche Boxster/Cayman. These were originally ordered in 2018 for the 2019 autocross season with the intent of winning STR in a 986 Boxster. Unfortunately I ran out of money before that was able to happen. I was holding onto them in the hopes of being back on my feet by now and being one of the inevitable ones building a 987 Cayman for STU, but it looks like that isn't going to happen either. So you now have the opportunity to benefit from my poor life decisions.

These shocks served me well in the 6 months I ran them. They even earned a very close 2nd place finish (.169 off the lead) at the 2019 Fontana Pro Solo in the hands of the very talented Jeff Stuart. Fitment is good and adjustment is easy and linear. After a few events worth of testing these were sent out for revalve and never reinstalled on the car, so they are essentially internally brand new. Revalve was performed by Ohlins USA in Hendersonville, NC. Over $8k invested in the shocks and revalve alone.

Included in the kit is a full installation package for 986 including 986 droop spacers (may or may not need to be modified for 987), fixed camber plates front and rear (fronts will not work on 987), and custom DIFtech install kits with front torrington and rear fixed spring retainers. This kit is designed to run 65mm x 6in springs all around, and I will include a set of springs if I have a rate that fits your needs. If your fitment requirements are slightly different, I will work with you to machine new upper mounts and/or droop spacers (I own a machine shop). Anyone who has experience with building a custom full-race damper setup knows that fitment is usually the most cumbersome and unexpectedly expensive part of the process, and I will help make this as painless as possible.

I'm looking to get $4k for full 986 setup as-is, or we can negotiate on any other fitment that you may have in mind.
