Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!
My freakin PVR decided that the real broadcast on Fox wasn't as important as the phantom broadcast on Speed and didn't record it. Luckily, I caught the last 30 min or so, but I have no idea what happened to Hamilton or Kimi (or Kovalainen and Massa, for that matter) Guess I'll have to record the replay.

Re: F1 Spoiler
That was SO cool.
Kubica is really coming into his own now - and it's weird that a 21yo guy looks considerably older than most of the guys there. For the subset of BMW owners that are being obnoxious little-league-parent jerks (tooting their horns, in Bob Varsha's words) right now, there's a random guy in Poland that's legitimately got a far, far bigger and absolutely legitimate right to be proud of himself and his country. Fantastic.
I can't wait for people to start comparing Lewis to Marco and Graham. The family connection isn't there, but the sense of entitlement sure is. What a dill-hole. In fairness though, I'd think it's a safe bet that he's not very proud of himself right now. It'll be pretty funny to hear Ron Dennis bagging on him, if it ever comes out in public. Ron's unsparing comments are priceless.
(For Kurt - Lewis crashed into the back of Kimi because he didn't notice the red-light at the end of pit lane, taking both of them out in the process. Kubica got SUPER-LUCKY and emerged unscathed.)
Did I say that was a cool race?

Re: F1 Spoiler
How do miss two flashing red lights?! I wonder what Kimi said to Hamilton. He didn't seem too upset.

Re: F1 Spoiler
Hamilton is probably going to get dinged on grid position for the French GP. Ten spots probably.
Re: F1 Spoiler
Thanks, Larry. Guess that's karma for Kimi's taking Sutil out in Monaco. I can hardly wait to see the replay so I can replay the incident a few times. For Kurt - Lewis crashed into the back of Kimi because he didn't notice the red-light at the end of pit lane, taking both of them out in the process.

Re: F1 Spoiler
They don't want the cars that pitted to re-enter the track until after the safety car and the cars following it have passed. It prevents the cars from flying down the pit exit and then trying to slot into the slow moving cars behind the safety car. The light was probably on because the other cars had not passed the pit exit yet.Curt Luther wrote:Can someone 'splain to me why there are the red lights and the end of the pit?
Hamilton and Rosberg have 10 spot penalties for next race.

Re: F1 Spoiler
not defending Lewis, what he did was dumb.
But: even if he stopped in time. Nico would of rear ended him anyway.
but if he did stop in time. Nico would of ran into him, Lewis would of ran into Kimi, but no penalty
Lewis day's was over either way.

Re: F1 Spoiler
Does anyone know how that light specifically works? Is it green, then goes yellow, then red? Or some official hits the red button & wammo instant red?
Timing considerations IOW.
Seems like the race control in the pit should have given Ham a heads up on that. Maybe radio problem? Who knows.
Blew all my picks, that's for sure.
