I don't think there was any actual incorrect payments. Seemed like people were not completing the payment if the total was incorrect. Adding and deleting registrations and even adding and deleting from your cart should do nothing until you actually submit a payment. But you're probably right we should check it over on Saturday.KJ Christopher wrote: No harm, no foul. Re: Online Registration Directions
I was referring to the isolated problem we've had over the past two events where we can see someone has paid in OLP but the registration shows them as still owing. Happened with my payment for Stacey in November and someone elses in December. My current theory is that deleting the initial registration breaks the link so a subsequent registration doesn't connect to the payment already made.Rick Brown wrote:I don't think there was any actual incorrect payments. X-Run payments do not calculate properly. Best pay at the event if you are doing X-runs.Steve Collins wrote:Yeah. I was having the same problem, Max, but Rick's workaround did the trick.

Re: Online Registration Directions
Problem is now fixed. First entry is $30, 2nd and 3rd entries are $25. The workaround is not available as the pricing drop down is now only $30 and $15 for Juniors/Students. By the way, if a junior/student signs up for X-runs it will be at $10. That's because the multi-entry pricing is actually a $5 discount.

Re: Online Registration Directions
Hey Steve, if you are interested in trying the online payment thing it would be a good test for us to see if it's all really fixed. You should be able to select class and X-runs with correct pricing for you and Stacy and Student/Junior pricing to Robert and Tadd. If you have X-runs for Tadd, they will be at $10 since the system applies a $5 discount to whatever the full price is rather than applying $25.

"The system maintains paid items separately from registrations so that this kind of processing can be handle easily and it will not re-charge for items already paid for. If somebody pays for 1 entry and then deletes the entry, then re-enters for 2 entries, it will only charge for 1 additional entry. If they re-register for only 1 entry, it will do nothing (due to the 0.00 balance)."

Haven't read the entire thread. Registered Karen and I for the next event. Are we NOT able to pay by Credit Card?
I was given the choice to pay using my PayPal account (ebay and Fotki photo sales), my checking account or some type of PayPal credit. I have credit cards attached to PayPal, but I wasn't able to bring up that choice? I had wanted to use our joint account credit card ...

Once you are transferred to PayPal, you should have whatever methods of payment you have set in your PayPal account available, direct from bank account, credit card or PayPal balance. PayPal is the only choice from AXWare, but AXWare doesn't care how you do it in PayPal, it just looks for verification that it was paid.Mako Koiwai wrote:Haven't read the entire thread. I'm waiting to hear back from PayPal ... I think they were forcing me to use their GE credit set-up ... if I didn't use my checking account. I have so many days to pay it off, or I probably start incurring interest and/or penalties.

Re: Online Registration Directions
I noticed when I paid for the banquet that it didn't offer the list to choose from as I remembered it, but instead used my default (direct from bank) and there was a small button to click to change to another method. I'm assuming you have the card you want to use in your PayPal list. If not you have to add it and it has to get "verified".Mako Koiwai wrote:I'm waiting to hear back from PayPal ... Re: Online Registration Directions
Yeah ... I used the button to go to my credit card list ... added Karen and my joint account card ... but it wouldn't let me select ANY of the three credit card that I have on my list to actually pay with. I picked the only "credit" option ... and it turns out to be there GE joint venture PayPal credit. Gives me X amount of PayPal credit ... but didn't show me any details of what I was getting into. I'll just pay it off right away.

Re: Online Registration Directions
I just started to figure out registration and me being a computer programmer even I didn't find it intuitive until reading Christine's well thought out directions. It's creating the other car (same one actually) and assigning it a different index (in this case for X-runs) that helped out. So now I see I get $30 for competition timed runs, $25 for X-runs. But the question that Steve brought is.....what about incentives for the Solo Committee and E-Board members? Are we better off paying onsite?Steve Ekstrand wrote:BTW-Are we still doing the incentive program for 2009?

It's in the works. There is a feature that almost does what we want and we're working on getting it changed to allow both discounts and Solo$ to be put in. Everything we do has so many exceptions it's a programmer's nightmare, especially on a system that tries to be everything to everybody in the country, SCCA and non-SCCA.Giovanni Jaramillo wrote:I just started to figure out registration and me being a computer programmer even I didn't find it intuitive until reading Christine's well thought out directions. Agreed. A program should have very FEW exceptions, or at least have a base module then modularize it. Well in that case I have to figure out my percentages as I was membership chairman and assistant webmaster so I add up both those and see what I get. Thanks Rick.Rick Brown wrote:Everything we do has so many exceptions it's a programmer's nightmare, especially on a system that tries to be everything to everybody in the country, SCCA and non-SCCA.
