I've been adding a bookmarks pane, merging solo and pro solo for a few years now... Haven't done it for '09 yet, but I'll let you know when I do. I think '04 or '05 was the last year SCCA actually added bookmarks...

if they follow last years MO, they release the basic version, someone gets pissed that it doesn't have links/bookmarks, said person posts the better version on a forum somewhere and the scca will repost that version on their website.

...so get to it.

I'd do ours for CSCC before I'd do theirs. It isn't someone's occupation to do that here.

It was indexed last year; disappointing that they didn't bother this time.

I know what you wrote. 2008 .pdf was bookmarked, ie, a list of clickable links in that frame on the left side. Better than clickable links in the ToC, IMHO. Apparently it was too much trouble for 2009.

Or have you never used the bookmarks in a .pdf?

I can probably pick some books up at the convention in a couple weeks if anyone wants some before the Tour.

Near the front of National Event check-in lines, I've noticed this really weird rule book hand off protocol.
It seems the rulebook can only be passed with your left hand, and it must be passed behind your back while simultaneously keeping the check-in person busy.

It is 1 rulebook per car or 1 rulebook per driver?

I talked with Howard at the NORPAC convent.. make that NWR convention last weekend, he mentioned a new program. A $15 dollar Solo License that included a waiver for owning a hard copy of the rule book. Just show your solo license at Pro, NT and Nationals registration, no rule book needed.

It wll probably get rolled into the Hard Card, Annual Waiver, program for 2010.

Now THIS makes perfect sense from a logistical standpoint. Great idea from Howard.

They should give me a hardcopy book for $15, or give me a solo license if I buy a book. As a SSS having a hardcopy to reference is much easier than carrying around a laptop or loose printed pages.
