Renee

Our thoughts are with you.... be tough and take ownership of your treatment like only you can. Don't be afraid to explore alternative treatments in conjunction with the chemo/radiation.

I got the results of my MRI and all my testing yesterday and it's not looking good. The doctor said the cancer cells have gone into the portal vein and into my blood stream and the word he used was INCURABLE. He is putting me on Nexavar which is a cancer medication, but there will be no transplant, surgery, radiation, chemotherapy - it's just a matter of time.

I would like to thank everyone for their support during this time, please continue to keep me in your prayers- I'm still going to do my best to fight this, but it's going to be difficult.

So sorry to hear that Renee. I can't imagine what you're going through. I don't pray much, but you're certainly in my thoughts. :(

Doesn't mean I still won't kid you, or cop a free feel every now and then. :)

I'd like to write something pithy and positive right now, but the keyboard is too wet from my tears.

I've watched too many of my friends and family go through this in the last few years. I don't know what to say anymore. You are always in my prayers. If there's anything I can do, let me know. But right now I'm just numb, I can't think, I can't see the screen anymore.....

I'm at a loss for words. It doesn't get easier to learn that someone you know is fighting against an insidious foe. It might be hard to think of getting another opinion, but don't give up the fight without as much knowledge as you can get. After all, Craig can wait.

This is sad news for sure, Renee. It's hard to know what to say for sure as others have said. For those of us not having gone through something like this, it is probably hard or even possibly impossible to imagine what you must be feeling. I won't say more. My thoughts, best wishes and prayers are with/for you.

I'm really sorry to hear that Renee. I watched an older brother die in 2008 from the same thing. The best advice I can give is to enjoy the rest of your time here and you'll be seeing Craig at the end.
