Great course. 11/27/2009

Post by Steve Abbott »

Thanks for the great course Mike S. Also thanks to Tom T. for not changing it. I'm sure everyone liked it. My rev. limiter sure got a work out. Also for all the volunteers that put it on.

See you at the next event.

Hmmmm. I was DEEP into 3rd. Rev. limit on my car is ~64mph. And I'm not an ASP car.

Must admit though, that Friday's course was a blast; but man, did I have to stand on my brakes going into the Showcase turn coming down from 3rd!!!

The Z06 Brakes were amazing coming into the Showcase corner on Friday! I twice dialed out some front camber (yes, with Brian's Blessing! :D ) going from -3.0 to -2.5, and I could feel the brakes getting even better. The Kumhos require less camber as compared to the Hoosiers that the car was set-up with.

That's true...but an exceptional course makes up for a lot. Whadda crappy day it would have been if it was also a mediocre course.

That was one of the most fun courses I've ever driven!

Loved the higher-speed sections: coming down the hill from the start, I was WOT in 3rd gear for almost 5 full seconds.
