Driver seeking car, Sunday @ El Toro

Post by John Stimson »

I just diagnosed a leaking differential mount on my car (S2000s have fluid filled engine and differential mounts, who knew?). So Ellen and I are looking for co-drive opportunities on Sunday, morning or afternoon. It would be nice if I could run in BS for points (Pete?). Or it would be convenient if I could find an STR or other afternoon ride, since Ellen has already been offered a seat in STRL.

If there are no takers, we will have to run the dreaded Protege5 in SK2...

My 2002 S2000 is coming out to run SK1. If you can get George to donate some wheels/Rs...Otherwise I can possibly bring out another set for you?

Looks like your running in the morning and SK1 is running in the afternoon.

My tire management plan(Tour,Pro) would be a bit hosed if I had a co-driver this event.
I am trying to minimize my run count versus the need for each event.
I'm the classic engineer who likes to maximize my chances at every turn :)

Try Greg Peng maybe. I would guess that he is minimizing his run count too though??

You could borrow my Kumho's and possibly Ron's car?? I will have them with me.

My AP1 S2000 runs 16" wheels. AP2 S2000 uses 17" wheels.

Other than what will be on my car, I have nothing worthy of competition. The set I returned to you might have been an option. The rest is junk. Sorry.

I can bring my own AP2 wheels and tires to run on. (245/40 Kumhos).

Jim found a co-driver just before I discovered the leaky mount.

Ron, do you want a co-driver in SK1? Ellen has a ride offered in STRL.

I am planning to have Ringer & Stuart drive my car in SK1. I am running my shifter kart.

Another option might be to run my car in STR and see how a BS car compares? }:) OOPS, they are running the same time. Scratch that.

I wish I could help you, but no. You might try Steve Lepper. He's let me drive his car before.
