Hey all,
My name is Marcello, I am new to the forums here but I am not new to Autocrossing. I just recently moved back home here in RB from Santa Cruz where I was going to school and AutoXing with the NorCal UFO group in Marina, CA. I drive a '88 Mustang GT and have been itching to take it out autoXing again now that I've gotten settled back here at home. So how can I get started? haha I forgot to mention the my car is currently modded for SM as I have added coil-overs, '04 Cobra brakes, and sub-frames to my car which has bumped me out of ESP.

Next event is Oct 23-24. May be too late to make it into the Saturday Practice http://tinyurl.com/10-23Practice" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
but wouldn't hurt to send in a check.
Sunday is open to anyone with no entry limits: http://solo2.motorsportreg.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Welcome!
In addition to SM, we have a local class, CST, which allows you to run SM prepped cars on street tires (140 tread wear & up).
We look forward to seeing you at the next event!

Hey Marcello and welcome to Cal Club. If you see the link above "For Calendar & General Info" or the CSCC SOLO image logo, you can click there and that will take you to the main site where you'll see Newbie Guide Introduction links on how our region is run all sorts of Frequently Asked Questions and answers. If you want to compete for year-end points then you purchase a points card (by the way I'm Solo Points card/Membership Chairman).Marcello Guarro wrote:Hey all,

EDIT: Robert beat me to the punch. Also for 1st year members you don't have to specify a club to join to get a points card.

(I keep trying to Send this and then walk away. When I come back I see it keeps getting held back by new messages?!)
Welcome back!
As you can see from our Calendar: http://www.solo2.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We have an event weekend coming up in a couple of weeks at CA Speedway. It will probably be difficult to get into the GRA Hosted Practice on Saturday, but please plan on joining us on Sunday. We now feature 3 race runs, which one can then follow up with 3 "X Runs" ... without having to work a 2nd shift. We've been having Fun Runs after Sunday's race runs, but with the shorter days at this time of the year, Fun Runs can't be guaranteed.
The host clubs have been using Fun Runs to help with the Clean Up at the end of the day, ie. run Fun Runs, you have to help out stacking cones, etc.
See the home page where the Up Coming Events are listed to find info on getting a Points Card, etc.

Re: Newb from Redondo Beach
Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome. I'd love to come to this weekend's event but unfortunately my car currently isn't registered due to it not passing smog, I've been trying to figure out the issue but's been a pain. I'm shooting to make the november event though. I hope to meet most of you then! Cheers.
