Re: Event Calendar - 2011
Updated to include San Diego region's events for the first half of 2011 as they can only schedule so far due to Qualcomm Stadium and their tenants (NFL - San Diego Chargers, and San Diego State University Aztecs football teams) not scheduled yet until mid-summer.
Also San Diego region's banquet is the day before (Jan. 29th) ours (Cal Club's - Jan. 30th) in case members from our region want to go to theirs as well.

Names of clubs that autocross under Cal Club in the California Sports Car Club (CSCC). Additionally, we are in the Southern Pacific Division of the SCCA. We're in district 19. So, SCCA-So Pac-CSCC-Cal Club-GRA, for example, is the heirarchy (I think).by David Crandon on 26 Dec 2010 09:44

We are a club based organization (started long before we became an SCCA Region) where clubs take on the responsibility of hosting most events to lessen the load on a small core group of people. Each club also has a committee rep which helps run the organization. Also there is a team competiton between the clubs.

Looking forward to the first practice / championship of the year. Should be beautiful with the snow covered mountains in the background.

Re: Event Calendar - 2011
Almost, the 'region' is the tricky one because it has several nick names, CSCC = CalClub = Region 19. "Area" rarely gets talked about, but it's in there and kind of important (National Board of Directors works off Areas).
So it's SCCA (nation)>Area 11 (South Western US)>SoPac Division (So Cal, Hi, Az, So Nev, et.al.)>CSCC/CalClub/Reg19 (Greater LA)>Clubs (Marquee, age and/or demeanor based).

Re: Event Calendar - 2011
Can anyone help me to find the calendar, or any calendar for our events? Is there a public calendar or one that someone could share that is importable to gcal?
When I go to the http://www.solo2.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; site and click on "Calendar" I see "Events are no longer shown on this page."

That looks like poor wording to me. The calander still shows, but it should say something more like "registration is no longer done through this page" (IMO, someone higher up will have to give an official answer)Adrian Covert wrote:Can anyone help me to find the calendar, or any calendar for our events? Re: Event Calendar - 2011
Yeah, the calendar set up and the events set up were separate, then merged for display. We will be adding all events to solo2.motorsportreg.com, but I think the dates should still be on the solo2.com calendar. Gio or I will have to do that manually.Nicole Nagler wrote:Looks like all of "our" events are no longer on the calendar.Christine Berry wrote:That looks like poor wording to me. We are in the process of getting the dates listed on MSR. Sorry for the gap in coverage. Should be up before Monday.

Re: Event Calendar - 2011
Ok, thanks folks. I thought I was going crazy-er for a min. I'm so late to the game I just got around to trying to plan my Solo schedule for the year...
Is there anywhere that I can see our events for 2011 right now? Or must I wait until the solo2.com site gets updated?
FWIW: a public Google Cal would be AWESOME!

Re: Event Calendar - 2011
I am not understanding this----where did the list of OUR events go!! It was on our calendar now only everyone else's is on ours. But, it was moved over to Motorsportsreg, but they only go through the 2/12 practice on our page. But, maybe all of our events are on their big calendar, I didn't have time to look through like a 1000 entries.
Put them back on SOLO2.com! Again, if we, who are supposed to know, can't navigate, how about the noob.

You didn't read it all very carefully. The dates will be on both solo2.com and MSR in a day or so.Don Salyers wrote:I am not understanding this----where did the list of OUR events go!! I did read it very carefully!! I still want to know where the 2011 events that were on our calender, went.
It does not say that they will be on our calender, "but I think the dates should be on the Solo2.com calender---" was your quote! So now they will be----or is still should be?

Re: Event Calendar - 2011
The calendar set up and the events set up were separate on Solo2.com and they were merged for display. When the events set up was removed (since we don't set up events there anymore), all the dates were removed from the calendar display. We're working on fixing it, chill out people. Yeah, I know we should have noticed it, but we didn't. What do you want from a bunch of volunteers? ;) The dates will be back up somewhere shortly.Don Salyers wrote:Rick Brown wrote:

It's that MSR doesn't have the dates in it yet. So there is no longer any listing of the year's events. Will Kalman wrote:I'm having trouble figuring out what is difficult here:

Re: Event Calendar - 2011
So is Rick's post above the official calendar? The one on the main menu says in red at the top events no longer shown. Although many are. And then links you to Motorsports Reg. But that only shows two events. Can I get a link to whatever is the official 2011 calendar, or is that a work in progress?

What Rick posted will eventually show up on MotorSportsReg. So it's a work in progress but for now use the post made by Rick to make your plans.Bill Martin wrote:So is Rick's post above the official calendar?
