Hi Rick,

I didn't see CST listed in the run/work groups.

Also, when I signed up, motorsportsreg said that no payment was necessary. I clicked "Solo $" instead of "trophy," so did the Solo $ pay for the entry?

I'll look into CST missing, should be one group later than last time. Online payment is optional. By pre-registering online, you get the discount whether you pay online or at the event. The Solo $ / Trophy choice is in case you win what type of award you want for that event. Solo $ can only be redeemed at the event at this time, not online.

Rick-
I see ST/STL listed twice in the run order for Feb (ST in 2/5--STL in 1/5). I didn't run in Jan, but I think the 2nd heat is correct.

Fixed. One of them was actually CST/CSTL. CST runs last in Feb and first in March.

Note to Historic Class members.

Added HST1 and HST2 to the timing computer, but forgot MotorsportsReg. Fixed now. Re-classed those that had already registered. Deleted HIST, added HST1 (pre '69) and HST2 ('69 through '86).

Hey guys. With the number of ppl signed up so far, how many runs do you think we'll get at this event? Do you think we'll have fun runs? Were there fun runs at the January event, or did you guys run out of daylight? I made a lot of changes to the car so just trying to get an idea if Ill have enuf runs to shake down the car. Thanks!

Three runs is standard. Occasionally we'll do four. If we do four, there is almost no chance of fun runs. Lately, even when we offer fun runs, we've had very few takers.

Unfortunately a lot of folks that might do Fun Runs have already left by them time they're announced. I know it's hard to plan, but you can't expect a lot of Fun Runners if you don't let people know early, ie. at least mention the possibility at the morning drivers meeting.

JAMES ... you can also buy a set of X Runs ... same price I believe as regular runs, but you don't have to work a 2nd shift. I don't recall the last time we only had three instead of four runs? If you get four regular runs, you also get four X Runs. X Runs sell out, so you need to buy them early.

Actually I have often heard fun runs mentioned before lunch at least over the last 4 or so events where the turnout has been lighter. I think the more genuine reason we don't have fun runs more often is people bail when they hear they have to stay and clean up. Groups that run before lunch have to stay later to get their fun runs and many with a long drive aren't willing stay for the runs much less work after running. Add the need to do clean up as the price of admission and there are only a few die hards willing to do so. I might be wrong but it seems to me the people I see late in the day cleaning up are the same people you see who set up and don't seem as enamored with the extra wear and tear.

Great News! Cal Poly Pomona has agreed to come out to our event and set up the BBQ. Your support helps fund the FSAE program and fills your tummy as a bonus. A WIN-WIN for all.

Thanks Cal Poly!
