Wanted-225-40-18 or 235-40-18 pairs

Post by Steve Ekstrand »

A broke friend has an urgent need for a pair of 225 or 235 40-18's.

Anybody have a pair for sale?

In the alternative, what is the best bang for the buck available new? I was looking in the $125-150 range tires at Sears.com and really didn't recognize anything. What is that General that some liked as an ST tire? That's gotta be cheap?

Something along the "Federal Tire" line: http://www.frsport.com/Federal-Tire-14B ... _2179.html

A lot of local places carry them now, too.

I ran those for a while. Better than crappy tires, not as good as any real comp tires. Good bang for the buck daily driving & predictable when breaking traction. The 595 RSR (next model up) are stickier but don't last as long & cost a bit more.
