Multiple entries, same car

Post by Steven Snyder »

Are multiple entries for the same car allowed for practices and points events?

I saw the split entry option when registering for practice, but my car's other driver would like to have her own set of runs. Does she just need to make a separate entry? How do run groups and run tags work when a car is shared?

If my wife and I wish to split Practice runs, usually 6 runs each, we select the "split entry" option. Otherwise, if we want our own runs (usually 12 each), we enter separately...same car. For Sunday Champ events, each of us pays separately for our entry. There is no shared or "split" option for Sunday events. Your other driver CAN ride along with you on Saturday at no cost. But not on Sunday unless you purchase non-competitive "X" runs.

Like Ed said, if you both want a full set of runs then sign up for 2 separate entries. it usually results in getting 2 stickers to put on the car and 2 work groups.

If getting seperate entries for the practice, be sure to get seperate run groups (there usually isn't a 2driver lane)

For the Champ there is a 2 driver lane (assuming your both in the same class) that moves about twice as fast as the other lanes so those cars don't get behind in run counts.

We've actually started using a 2 driver lane over the past few practice events and it seems to be working out okay, despite my prediction of doom.
