Links now open in new tab/window. Thanks Aaron!

As for British English, it doesn't bother me. Besides, they have such colourful slang, such as "up the pipe," "shake hands with the unemployed" and "sod this for a game of soldiers."

My guess is you were using someone else's computer with a real web browser that does spell check for you. Firefox does spellcheck for me on anything I type online.

BTW, Board stats say we're are currently averaging 50.33 Posts per day!

Yep, I have logged on with firefox several times. :)

As far as the 50.33 posts per day, I'll bet Curt and Ashley account fot 40 of those.

Sorry Bob. I didn't mean to diminish your contribution. :D

So when are you going to get behind McCain? :D

I'm leaning toward Barr more than McCain. He was on Colbert last week and made a lot of damn sense.

The thing I keep wanting is button that takes me direct to "new posts" page. Seems like it would be good to have this show up on every page. I drill down and read some topic and then have to use the "back" button to pop back up to where the "new posts" link is.

There is a link on the "front page" of the forums Labled "View new posts".

Once you've gotten to that page, click on the little orange icon next to the topic to be taken to the first new post. As a bonus, if the new posts were split between two new pages, when you go back to the new posts list, the topic will still be highlighted and clicking on the little orange icon again will take you to where you can resume reading new posts.

I never even go to the forum's "front page" anymore, just work off the New Posts list.

Aaron,

We NEED the following:

1. Polls
2. Random quotes with abilty for users to add

I'm guessin' the polls part could be part of the present software, the quotes, probably not.

Polls are only turned on in the Club forums right now.

1. Polls are currently in and implemented, available in Solo, Events and the Club boards. Also available in the Comitee boards for people that have access to those.

2. That's what wikipedia is for, isn't it?

Not exactly, in fact, not at all. Some fourms, at the top of the page, will display a random quote. Many are things posted on the fourm that are, well, quotable, added by the users.

It's not a must have, but it can be fun.

I'm gunna allow them in the Events forums for in-car stuff, etc and we'll see how that goes.

Oooh...Finally! I love the new forums! Glad to see the upgrade. I haven't attended a CSCC event in some time now, but I still lurk.

Hmmm...how about some more smilies though? I would think this one at least is appropriate
