The "V" turns drove WAAAAY faster that Tom's pin turn in February. For that course, I ran straight at the first two because I wanted to make the turn before it (Downhill fast right) as fast as possible.

Despite driving a quick accelerating, high grip vehicle I entered wide and late apexed on the 3 cones. Just seemed fast to me (2nd fastest behind Keisel). Probably should have tried run 2 as a tight "V". Of course walking the course first might have helped the decision on how to do it, too.

Here is my 74.4 sec run in the Green Bugeye Turbo Sprite. I was running it on med boost (about 365 to the wheels

)... Sorry for the long length forgot to shut of cam (and I don't know how to edit it)....
FYI, this is the first event with a whole new rear end (completely new housing and everything) different camber and toe. I have not driven the car for a few months. I do like the new rear end for sure, I can't wait to work on the front end a little more....

Very very cool Jeff! The car sounds great!!!
On a side note, I didn't get to run that weekend but getting a chance to get a look at it, damn that course is huge!

It was much longer in most of our cars.
Wow ... it's amazing how short the distance is between elements in Jeff's rocket!

Wish I could get thru that 1/2 box offset and not twitch the wheel.
Nice run.

Chasecam's Dashware came out today, SO MUCH BETTER than Trackvision.
Just threw this together:

Aaron-
Dashware looks really cool. You have MaxQ right? I have a DL1. I'm assuming that will work with this as well?

Aaron has a DL1.
We need to change the way we log brake input to pedal pressure or travel instead of on/off

Wouldn't it be cool to be able to monitor actual line pressure? We used to have brake pressure gauges on the drag cars.

That's what Mike S said too.
Speaking of drag cars, I installed a line locker for the pro.

That would be great data to have.

it's really quite boring. now if you hook up two sensors and actually measure brake bias there is some interesting info to look at but still not much you can do with it.
with only one sensor you'll see that brake pressure is almost linearly related to deceleration rate unless you're hitting the gas and brake at the same time.
Toby,
I'll bring my brake pressure sensor to the next event if aaron reminds me.

Yeah... I could just remap the Deceleration G's to the brake bar and you almost couldn't tell the diffrence.

So braking Gs are good enough? Good to know.
Cool vid, btw.

Unless you want to detect lockup or braking issues by measuring the change in decel/brake pressure ratio.

Or if you're on an extremely low grip surface, in which case brake pressure would become very interesting to measure.

yeah but you don't need a 500 dollar sensor to tell you to quit doing that.
QUIT DOING THAT STEVE!!!!!

sure brake fade is something to look at...but again do you need an expensive sensor to tell you your brakes are fading? it's pretty obvious when it happens. Toby's car has abs so it really wouldn't tell you if you're locking up but rather just when the abs turns on. individual wheel speed sensors are far more effective in determining lockup anyhow.

No sensor needed to feel brake fade other than one in the pit of my stomach.

Most of my brake failures are indicated by a high number written on a yellow post-it.
