I've been to two schools before, a few dozen autocrosses and am fairly competitive locally.
Is this school for me or is it more for people who have done <=1 school and a few autocrosses?
Thanks,
Brandon

As of now it's for all levels. You would be paired up with an instructor that would be appropriate for your experience. There are a number of National Champs among the Instructors.

Looks like the school will hit the cap after all. Thank you for your support. I have updated list as of November 3.
FYI: I am traveling on business the next few days and will not be responding to PMs or e-mail or updating the list until this weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

F-ing up is how you learn, so I plan on doing it a lot that day

I promise not to laugh at you if you promise not to laugh at me

Exactly. Spinning out, going off course, etc. is how you learn where the limits are. Gotta exceed them a few times to be able to drive at 100%.

Ken Motonishi's old nick name used to be Spin Motonishi, because he spun so much, now he is a multiple time national champ.
Learn from your spins grasshoppa!

Adalberto - I would be lucky if people would be just laughing at me.... I am focusing on avoiding situations like Jason (while working the course) running to the grid and yelling "Do something - you have two tires in the air!"
Yes - I definitely need some schooling. Looking forward to the excellent weekend!

Really? I actually rarely spin. They used to call me "Kone" Motonishi. Infact, I tied with Uyeda for the inaugural "Cone Petrified of Year" award in 2000 or 2001 I believe. I was good at nearly losing it and taking out cones in a big hurry. I once hit 17 cones in one run. Try to beat that one. And I wasn't trying to hit any. Now I'm just an old man so i don't hit them as often since I can't really see that well anymore. I take it easy on cones lately? Perhaps I'm just not trying hard enough?
Never heard of Spin but that's a cool nickname for someone like Steve O'Blenes.

your not trying hard enough dude. 7th at Nationals? REALLY??? King of ST!!!
I think Palero could beat 17 cones. However at Nationals last year i believe he coned 13 cones but they only recorded 9 cones... they need to be more professional with cone counts...lmao

Remember that stripped bolt that's supposed to be holding the bottom of the shock body to the fork? Doesn't stay when the bolt is stripped apparently.

I drove HS in a Ford Escort. I remember I could clearly see people pre-running to pick up cones they assumed I was going to hit.

Well, since my loaner Miata fell through (bad clutch), I will be renting a car for the school. Anyone have any suggestions for a rental (available at ONT or nearby) that would be best for someone who usually competes in a Miata? My son will be driving ours. I am thinking of a Mustang but would appreciate any thoughts.

Your right I remembered that wrong, you were the cone king, but now you just miss them. The point I tried to make is if you don't make mistakes you can't learn from them so don't be afraid of making a mistake. (As long as you learn from them)

Contact Hertz, they used to rent them. There are several companies off airport in San Diego that rent Miatas.
Miatas are available at Atwest LAX.... I rented one before from Atwest SD for half the price LAX wanted... and they had to drive one down from LAX to give it to me.
Per web site as of now
http://reservations.atwest-rentacar.com ... le_details" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Or a Mini cooper here:
http://www.aa-arentacar.com/rate.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Do a quick internet search.... I'm sure you can find lots of fun toys short of the $$$$$$ Ferrari's.
