Kai Tak is gone right? That place was insanity.

Edit: Just hit Wiki.... Closed in 1998 when the new airport called "Less Drama HK International" opened. They moved the last critical components over in a single "massive" overnight move. So, one night last flight in and out at Kai Tak, next morning, everything is at a new airport. Impressive!

I worked with people that refused to fly into HK in the mid 90's because of scares they had on previous trips.

When HK was under British rule, planes had to avoid PRC air space. So there was a target painted on the side of a mountain that the pilots used to line up the turn. Even without crosswinds, planes made some bizarre and scary touchdowns.

Anybody ever go to the roof of the parking structure on approach to San Diego to have their "pushing tin" thrills? Or is it the roof restaurant at the old Cortez?

Apparently the driver of the lotus is ok, and the driver of the Miata broke his neck but should recover ok. Im trying to get more details, but in my perspective the Miata driver didnt really have much of a chance to see the waving yellow. Im not sure when the Lotus spun relative to when the waving yellow was issued. But based on this in-car, it appears the Miata was at corner-exit when the waving yellow was issued. Right before the collision you can see the Miatas brake lights engage. I wonder how much that helped? After the collision you can see the Miata on 2 wheels in the rear-view mirror. Take a look at how quickly things can go wrong:

Possible, but given that the Audi rings on the engine still have glue residue, I'd say not. Some people are just whack. Love the graphic, though
