Personally I'd go with blue. But neither Blue nor Silver were in his question of Black vs. White.Mako Koiwai wrote:white = appliance

Two black Miatas in a row for me. Not again.Craig Naylor wrote:Stick with the white car. Both black and white have the clean from afar, dirty up close issues, but you won't leave fingerprints on the white car every time you touch it, as it melts part of your skin off. My kids liked the car until the first time they burnt there hands on it. Even on a nice 70 deg day, I've burn my hands mid day on the painted metal surfaces. Now they want nothing to do with it. It also won't make the air conditioner work as hard compensating for the additional heat it absorbs.Pete Loney wrote:BTW, I also spotted a Black CR for Sale in TX, for $19,900, but it's missing a Hard Top.
I have one of those in my garage
If I had it all to do again, I would not have bought the black Miata, and would have found a different color.
Fixed that for ya Max!Max Hayter wrote: Faster on R compounds always equals more fun.
I'm barely slower than BS, and I'm on street tires. So, I have a better/stiffer suspension, but less grip overall. Is it more fun to wallow around on sticky tires, or have a stiff, precise car that you have to drive on a fine edge?Mike Simanyi wrote:Fixed that for ya Max!Max Hayter wrote: Faster on R compounds always equals more fun.
It's called Street Prepared where you get to have both grip and good suspension! Peters won in an MX-5, why not come on over?!Max Hayter wrote:I'm barely slower than BS, and I'm on street tires. Come to the dark side, Luke. (I wish I could find a clip of Chris Farley talking into the fan from Black Sheep)Bill Schenker wrote:It's called Street Prepared where you get to have both grip and good suspension! Peters won in an MX-5, why not come on over?!
I agree with you Max. I don't want to buy R comps either. On the other hand, I don't get punished when I occasionally drive it on the street. Everything's a trade off.Max Hayter wrote:I'm barely slower than BS, and I'm on street tires. So, I have a better/stiffer suspension, but less grip overall. Max, you're always moving at the speed of BS.Max Hayter wrote:I'm barely slower than BS, and I'm on street tires. So, I have a better/stiffer suspension, but less grip overall. Next year you just might have more company. It would sure be nice to drive to events once again.Max Hayter wrote:George, my car is wonderful on the street (if you turn the shocks down and put normal wheels/tires on it). I hated it when it was stock - made me car sick!)
There wasn't much doubt. Good luck with the negotiation.Pete Loney wrote:Back to the main topic.....
It's official, the car is a total loss, Inspection paperwork going in the system today.
Adjuster getting to me on Monday or Tues.
In talking to Christine, Tom goes weekly to the location where my car is at to buy salvaged cars.George Schilling wrote:There wasn't much doubt. Good luck with the negotiation.Pete Loney wrote:Back to the main topic.....

Pete, I made quite a bit of cash selling off pieces of my first Miata and it was stock bits and pieces.Pete Loney wrote:

It will be on his menu next thurs. for auction possibly if I complete the negotation in time.
I most likely won't buy it back, unless Tom has more ideas how to work this for some advantage.
Hey K'Mo, better line up something with Tom !!
