Is there a site where I can find that the e46 m3 was amended into the STU class. I can't find it anywhere.

I just went through that earlier and I didn't see anything about allowing e46 m3's in STU. I Emailed Leonard the novice coordinator and he said SST, but when I look at http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_Rule ... gories.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I dont' even see an SST class. SHould I be looking elsewhere?

I guess national or regional class makeup should be the same right?

SST is a local only class for cars not otherwise legal for ST - however, the E46 M3 is legal in STU. Trust me, I raced quite a few of them this year at National events.

In general the local rules are Supplemental to the SCCA rules.

You should for SST classing and other local classes. However, no need in your case, since you have a car which is eligible and some might even think, competitive, in a National class.

Originally, the E46 M3 was excluded from STU, but that exclusion has been removed for a while now.
STU doesn't specifically list cars (other than giving a non-exhaustive list of examples).

Street Touring Class U (STU)
Class Requirements and Restrictions:
Coupes/Sedans - 4 seats minimum

- any normally aspirated or
- up to 3.1L forced induction
(turbocharged/supercharged).Example Classifications:
All ST and STX Eligible Cars +

Which class would a Datsun 240Z w/ Chevy Small Block engine on normal road tires be in?

I did a lot of searching and couldn't really get a definite answer.

Locally, it sounds made for our CST class.

Nationally, it would probably have to go to XP (or EM) because of the engine swap.

XP and EM are brutally fast classes. But our local CST class is a lot of fun. At least two z guys run there regularly, sometimes more. Its pretty wide open, but the spirit is more build what you like for many purposes vs mega dollars specifically for a defined set of rules. Downside is that CST is only local, but for now that's where I'd go. Art Rinner is our local Z guru.

Basically EVERYTHING except <140 treadwear tires is acceptable in CST.

Looking for classing information.

1990 Corvette L98 6sp Z51, ZR-1 wheels, Kumo tires. K&N Air Filter, I think it has Cat Back exhaust replacement, looks pretty stock. Koni Adjustable Shocks, lowered, Aftermarket PROM. Inside I am adding a harness bar, Pyrotect 5 point harness. I believe that's it.

I think the wider than stock wheels and the aftermarket PROM would put you in BSP, at least nationally. I don't know about which local only classes are ok.

need car class on a 1994 bmw 318is slotted rotors with stock calipers aftermarket pads. engine only has lightweightflywheel and clutch. stock wheels


also i planning on attenting an event tomorro what are rules on a crack in window i have attended events before with my old car and was told if its not view obstructing?

The flywheel puts you in Street Prepared.
Can't remember which year is which, but the 16v 318 is in DSP and the 8v is in FSP.
The crack would have to be pretty bad for you to fail tech inspection.
