I don't get any - I haven't received the So Pac News.

I would expect incumbant candidate John Norris to be solo friendly as well. Renee would know more about this than me but I remember him being an instructor at Lotus West schools back in the early 90's so I assume he has a solo background.

Thanks for bringing this up, I usually toss the Sopac news without reading it.

I'm unfortunately conflicted on John.
Friendly? Maybe. Respectful? Not so much.

The key for solo people is targeting the three solo people.

Let the club racers decide on their people. I can't imagine John not winning. He doesn't need our help.

That assumes I'll be at any events after the car sells. Not very likely.

Really? John was my local mechanic (West LA) and very good, and comes from (as he calls it "slalom" background). But at heart he's a road-racer so just curious as to the conflict.

Mako, I paraphrased your original quote and made it a "News" item on our main site http://www.solo2.com. Aaron if you can "sticky" this thread until 12/01/2008 that'd be great.

Ok, I got my copy of the CalClub Newsletter last night. I was just waiting to make sure that I got the size right on that PDF I made for Mako's post. It's good. I'm mailing off my Ballot today.

Notice that PDF has only been downloaded 22 times.. there are probably 22 people online RIGHT NOW.

Here it is again in case you missed it in Mako's post:
ballot.pdf
PDF of the Cal Club Ballot

I decided to vote for ONLY
Christine
Marshall
Gayle

I like Oli and think he'll be good for us, but with Norris, Allison, and Staveley as incumbents I think it will be difficult to break in and the solo people need to target the solo people.

I jusr received and read my So Pac news and there is a square in there asking for solo information or stories.

They want to hear from us, we just need someone to write articles for them.

I can barely write emails. I skipped english all through school.

Someone with some talent should step up here and give them the goods.

Sounds like you're eminently qualified!
