Yes, you can. Payment is optional online, but just like before, you pay less if you pre-reg online. Online payment is an option many people have asked for. The system is a work in progress and a major update is due by the end of the year which should expand the capabilities.

I agree with Bill, It wasn't exactly clear in the reading material above and I might not have gone poking around on the site if I was never going to be able to register. Thanks Rick!

Edited instructions to include that it's optional.
Christine, note that there is an option to link to other people so you can register for them.

Rick, couldn't one of the "wizards of computerdom" put a link at the bottom of the flyer at solo2. It says that "online registration is not..."

Really like the ability to charge and pay upfront, thanks.

You can. I was stuck at that point for a while, haha. It works, it's just a lot of VERY incremental steps. I'm sure it'll get better people.

Is there the converse? I'd LOVE to un-register a certain BSP driver...

Yup, it works, although since you don't add aything to your cart, I couldn't tell if I was registered until I went to the registration list. Also spent quite a bit of time mousing over icons to find out what everything means, It will just take a little getting used to.

We'll try to make you pay twice.

Or the pre-reg printout will also show who paid and how much. Also shows in the Registration computer,

One of those. We'll decide at the meeting tomorrow..........

Admins can unregister (and register) people. You just have to shop around to see who's cheapest.........

I'm sure they could, I'm just not one of them. Will or Gio could do it I think. I did add it to the body of the text, although it's not an active link.

I just set up my car for both SK2 and X runs...worked beautifully. But when I tried to add it to my cart, it showed the total as 2 registrations for a cost of $60, rather than 1 registration and 1 set of X runs for $55. Did I do something wrong?

Yeah, you didn't read the big bold red instructions at the start of this thread.

At the moment we can only have one price, $30. So you can only pay for a basic registration. You have to pay for the X-Runs on site. You can pre-register for both, but only put regular runs in your cart. The pre-reg printout / Registration computer show what's paid for and what's not.

Will is the one as it's database driven (which I don't have access to).

So if you pre-reg and pre-pay do you not have to go to the registration table on the day of the
event? Can you just go directly to tech?

Sad thing is I read it like 3-4 times. Figures the smartass would get smacked down. I think this is what screwed me up: "You can register up to 3 times, Class runs and 2 sets of X-Runs. For a second set of X-Runs, add an "a" to your car number." I equated registration with payment. Guess I ignored this: "Currently pre-payment is through PayPal and is limited to only the $30 fee. So if you pay something different or register for X-Runs you have to pay at the event."

Anyway, I thought I read somewhere later in the thread that it'd been fixed, but I guess not.

Still Check in is my guess at the moment. We still need to assign everyone an official work assignment.
The assignment you requested is not your official assignment.

I'd agree with Pete. I'm sure we need to at least see your driver's license and checking you off the list helps with accounting later on - we have to pay a fee to SCCA for each person that actually competes. And if you did pre-pay and didn't show up we need to know that to issue a refund. May change in the future.

I really like the link to other people. I have to register Stacey and Tadd and someday Robert. Frickin' ridiculous to log in and out so many times....

We should change our discount policy so that what we still decide to give, we give in solo bucks.

Yep. This'll speed up registration but you will *always* have to check in. If we're really lucky - or maybe just a little smart - we'll be able to figure out how to check in for wristbands and work in a much simpler manner. That'll probably be dependent on the ORM site updates though.
