These road racers are taking this serious. I heard Craig and Oli were out practicing Sunday at the SV's autocross. It's going to take much more then one practice guys.

And it's one thing to go fast in a practice, and another to do it in a race, huh, Steve-o!

Doh! You mean my worst result in years? Where I DNFed twice and coned the remaining run? Yeah, I was hoping he wouldn't notice - it was a real Dr. Conmangler day. :mrt:

I PAXed like 50th  Oh, wait - that might be a good day for you - sorry!

I'll commiserate with you Bill, I did the exact same thing 2 DNF's and a double coned run.
I FULLY blame my heat cycled tires though, threw em in the trash last week too!!

Sat ~20min. @ start waiting for the clean-up of the AMod car. 1st run came out of start and turned right into the setting sun (whose change in position I hadn't noticed in the wait) and got completely lost. 2nd run, just one of those things ('though my tires were still pretty cool). 3rd run accelerator pedal got stuck in a hole in my carpet - full throttle through the downhill SL and into the right and then the long left (where I finally put both feet in - was trying to pull out the run before that - reached down to find out what happened to my pedal, pulled it out and cruised to the finish) Not a good day.

Bill you just don't get it again. Let me explain. It's autocrossers against road racers. This is the one time that you and I will unite against them. If that's not possible with you, then you don't get to play with us.

It was a success. First Bill and I can work together when needed. Second the T1 boys just couldn't hang with us. They also brought out a Circle track driver (Scott)that co-drove Craig's car and was faster then both of them. He did make me a little nervous, but at the end of the day all three were slower. -.7 Scott, -1.1 Craig, -1.3 Oli, off my times. Even further from Bill. :D Mike S took top time of the day by a lot.

We did take the win for autocross, but don't think for a minute that these guys wouldn't whip us all on the track. It's takes courage and lot's of skill to race side by side, brake from 130 mph, corner speeds between 80-135mph and be able to pass offline. They did a great job and looks like there coming out again.

Thanks for the fun day.

Steve :)

Hey, .2 is not a lot! And I didn't get to run in the afternoon!

At least we beat those pesky road racers! It was great to see them out there and hope they do come out again!

I agree wit the comments made that it is good for our club and sport to run with the T1 guys and have them run with us.

We can all learn something from each other and it looked like a lot of fun.

I am sick I could not run on Friday, my car is getting a new transmission this week.

I will be there next time.

Here is a little video of the fun and competition.

Good job to everyone.
