ha ha ha... funny

but not the same.

I think Ilike the way a car looks sitting backwards ina garage. even more so when its jacked up. like Makos picture. just looks mean. like youre getting it ready for a race or something.

I need to take better garage pictures, all of mine are crappy.

Casey, your garage looks pretty well done. Wish mine was three feet deeper and three feet wider to make room for work and storage. I can have some space at the back and sides, but not as much as I'd like.

Hey, if I went out now and took a picture of my car it would look brownish-gray from the dust.

Wish my garage was deeper, taller and wider. If I had your garage space I would fill it with 4 cars! :D

cleaned up the garage yesterday. figured I would take some new pics.
I promis to stop posting pics after this. :)
(although if I get the car up in the air with the 4 tires off, I might not be able to hold that promis)

oh yeah, and see the cones in the backround. one of them says "COUNTRY of San Bernardino".... yeah COUNTRY, not COUNTY. they messed up a whole bunch of em. so they decided to sell them for $20. proceeds went to the burn victims of Loma Linda Hospital. I figured it would look cool in the garage, and give me a funny story..... so there it is. :computer:

My messy garage. Lots of storage space, although I need to find a good corner to put a tire changing machine. Probably just give up a shelf for that.

Only the RX8 gets in the garage. Lots of stuff strewn about. Need to get my old magazines on eBay. I love the compressor.
Image

The workbench is 3/8" steel top and angle iron legs. My father got it out of an air plant that was being torn down. Heavy as all get out, but I have managed to move and flip it over myself before. :mrt: Much pain later. Air hose will reach the end of the driveway and I have drops in both front corners.
Image

Tool box, parts washer and the dirty clothes pile from the last car wash/wax.
Image

more stuff. most of that just gets transferred in and out of the trunk for the solo events. another shot of parts washer and tool box. Also, the white board to write down important stuff, like torque specs. Oh and the grinder.
Image

Another shot of the bench and the power bleeder along with brake fluid for the project right after I finish this post.
Image

It looks pretty messy, but it actually cleans out pretty easy to work on stuff. All I do is roll two bikes out and I've got tons of space. The metal benches are usually clear. Now off to change that brake fluid.

Have you used the Power Bleeder before? Go very light on the pressure at first. I found out that following the recommended pressure resulted in a big puddle of Motul 600 on the garage floor.

Pete and I couldn't figure out how to disconnect the Power Bleeder from the brake fluid reservoir without spilling all over?! After you release the pressure ... how do you get the left over fluid out of the top of the reservoir and hose ?!

You're supposed to bleed the extra fluid in the hose and reservoir out of a caliper before releasing the pressure.

1) use pressure bleeder
2) release the pressure from the bleeder
3) bleed brakes the old fashioned way until fluid level is low enough that you can safely take the cap without making a mess.

I have all the same questions about the power bleeder and really don't get it....
Anybody have a link to "clear" instructions???

Dooooh ... (what's the sound that Homer makes?!)

I think we realized that after experimenting on Pete's STI ... and our other CSCC emergency contact didn't remind us of the obvious. :? :(

I have a 3 car garage, a carport, a storage building, a 600sqft mostly enclosed patio, and a 38ft trailer. Still I have a 6 tires stacked in my office and I don't have room to move, work, or get to anything.

My life is hopeless clutter.....

No worries on the hi-jack ... either you read every message ever posted anyway, or you're not really committed ... to what, I'm not sure.

In case you didn't see it on some other hi-jacked thread ... our still very messy garage because we only moved in a few months ago.

I hear you..... I have a three car detached garage plus an 8x14 storage shed and my engine hoist and engine stand have to sit outside on my patio because there is no room in the garage. Time to rent a dumpster again!

I loved my garage in the house I grew up in.

It was only a two car garage, but it was extra wide and extra deep. I think it measured out to 24x24. It had re-inforced rafters with lights and nice storage. I added a lower 4x16 storage loft built right so you could store motors and trannys above a car if you wanted to and all it was off to the side clear of the actual double wide door. I could fit more in that garage and had better work areas than I with my current 3 car garage.

Someday, Stacey says we can build a house and I can design my dream garage. Does anybody know when "someday" is??? ;)

Tadd and some of my mopar buddies keep offering to come over and help with a clean up and a dumpster load or two. But it is hard. Part of the reason is three different garages got dumped into mine without any sorting or trashing. Just, have to get the uhaul and "rescue" the junk. But its not all junk, just mostly junk. I have a lot of sorting that only I can realistically do. I should have the time, but somehow people around me need to stop dying or getting sick. And I need to stop getting sick or hurt.... Hey, Gilda, its always something....

And since were talking about tools. in my current garage, there is a drill press, a grinder, and a spring rate gauge.... oh, and a mini fridge for the beer. ;)

you have a spring rate gauge? valve springs or suspension springs?

That was the first time. I set it up (instructions are printed on the bottle) and tested at 10psi, just air until I got it set up with out any leakdown. Then added the fluid. I also stayed at 10psi with the fluid.

At the end, just turn the bottle so it is pushing air and keep the LF bleeder open till the fluid drops to the correct level in the reseviour. Then release the pressure from the bottle. Absolutely no mess, no air in the system and it is completely bled. Pedal is really nice now.
