Honda Del Sol
E Mod has two rules.

#1 - it has to look a little bit like something listed in Appendix A.
#2 - the engine has to stay in the same half of the car it started in.

I might be paraphrasing a bit...

2812's POWN is the rain.....
Though.... Kenny's full tread Toyo's might be too scary for words...

The Metrosexual car is going to make a statement in San Diego.

but the 2812's need drivers so that they can POWN!!!

RE-11 is still going to be a contender at both full tread and shaved, and with an early release of a 205 it may just be what the DR. ordered for balance between grip and size and weight!!!

Early release????

Why do tire companies do this?

I won't buy RE-11 195's if I know contract drivers can get 205's. As good as Bridgestone has been for us, it made the decision pretty easy to switch to Toyo's, when I had been planning to test both.

Hey! I'm already giving up more than 200lbs in race weight to the lightest ST hotshoes. I can't run a slower tire too!!!

I'm pretty sure a 195 RE-11 is going to be slower than a 205 RE-11.

I can call a Toyo distributor and get the tire I need now. With Bridgestone... It depends.

ah okay... anyone dare to try 225 or a 7" rim?

I don't think a half inch is going to be a pass or fail. 7.5 would be better obviously.

I've seen 245's on 6" rims in stock class.

If the 205 is back to being a good compound/hardness, then that enters the mix a well. I'm still not convinced 225 all around is the best choice, but maybe. Tough to make comparisons though with different setups needed to optimize.
