I dunno, i think Palaro has a solid argument that one is connecting to a network and the other is just a terminal and say it's an Apples to Oranges comparison. I was on BBS' using the 300baud modem on my C64, some of them even internetworked.

I'm the guy that networked the lab machines to that mainframe I dialed into. I had a nerdy youth. You guys weren't born yet.
