Stacey and I don't run til the 6th heat (three driver ugliness), so we can man the kids course most of the day.
I run third, so I'll be there before and after that.

Oversteer is better than understeer because you don't see the tree you're hitting.
Lily, you beat me to the question. It appears STSL get to run twice!, but no play time for STS. Now I understand why no one else had signed up for the class.
Do I remember correctly that for X-runs I can take a passenger?
My parents are visiting from Norway and I want to give them each a ride.
I run SK1, which runs in group 5 and work group 6, so will I be OK to run my SK1 runs and X-runs in group 5 (I have preregistered for both).

Steve,
I will bring my 5 year old son out to take a look at the kiddie karts on Sunday.
I run in SK1 group 5 so I doubt we will be out early enough for 1st heat, but we will come take a look at your kart and hopefully Robert running it or someone else running on the kids practice course.
Going to find and print the kids wavier forms now.

Yes..............BUT they must not only sign a waiver at the gate and wear a wristband, they must get a "free for passengers only" temporary SCCA weekend membership.

Yes, passengers are OK for X runs. Prefearbly you don't take your X runs in the same group, but in your case because your work assignment is in the lasat group it will be allowed. You will need to run in the 2 driver line.

Kristoffer - Keep in mind that running both in the same group can get a bit hectic - you're running twice the runs in the same amount of time. Depending on the overall size of the group, the next run can come up really fast. You may end up running like a mad man to cool the tires and check pressures.
Alternatively, you may consider finding someone to trade work groups with you and run your x runs in 6th. This would give you a more leisurely pace for you and your parents. You need to clear all of that with the chief of workers though.
Also, if your parents will be using loaner helmets, you might want to stop by Lowes or Home Depot and pick up some $2 painters head socks. (I guess it depends on your feelings as you reflect on your childhood....)

As a fellow PAXL competitor I would be ok with any of the ST PAXL drivers running a different afternoon group. Just get Carol and Bev to sign off on it and you can avoid melting your tires off the car.

Thanks for the replies about SK1 runs + x-runs in same run group - it should be ok (if they let me do it at registration), did it once before, and I have a couple of helmets.
Will make sure to get the "free for passengers only" temporary SCCA weekend memberships for my pasengers at registration - did not know about that, thanks!
