Yeah, thanks for reminding me, Mako, I had protectively forgotten about that one. Borrowed RWD ASP cars are not real good in the rain :barf:
We would have run that heat in the dry, but right then there was the usual mysterious ProSolo timing delay, lasting just long enough to let the cloudburst (with some lightning in the distance) start while I was sitting at the starting line. J-Rho was working the course right then holding an umbrella, when he suddenly felt an electric charge in that arm(!). He quickly threw the umbrella to the ground - an experience he will probably never forget.
And, yes, 996 GT3 prices are continuing to crater. Unfortunately, the stupidest purchase I have ever made. Personally, I think the latest 997 Carrera S would be excellent in SS, wet or dry. Once upon a time, James Gunn and I toyed with the idea of bringing a
rain car instead of rain tires to Nationals - still not a bad idea.
Oh-oh, just realized we can't talk umbrellas in a Cal Club discussion....
