I'm pretty mesmerized myself.... [drooling emoticon]

That propeller knob thing is huge!!!!

Robert the Pre-K Race Car driver is doing better than I dreamed possible. Even with Kalman twins kart sitting on his lap... Oops. We took Robert, the Kalman Twins, Kencey Christopher, and Neelu Yeoh up to Willow Springs today and had a kid kart and Mothers Day BBQ that was really fantastic. Great family day. The kids did amazing things all day. Face hurts from smiling so damn hard. :D

So your saying that each person in the dream represents a character trait of me in my eyes? What about each persons involvment in the dream, does that represent my own expectations?

There's a whole body of work out there on the language of dreams. Rarely would a dream ever "speak" directly to you. The subconscious uses symbols, archetypes, and emotions to get its points across to the conscious. Deconstructing a dream can take a lot of work. Nothing in the dream is real nor does it represent real things. But it can help you resolve real issues if you are willing to understand what it's trying to tell you. For instance, a car is rarely a car - it represents the way you go through life. If it is being driven recklessly, that's how you are living your life - recklessly. Most people will never take any of this seriously. But as Carl Jung found out, dreams, or more accurately listening to dreams, can be the easiest way to improve the quality of your life. "He who looks outside, dreams. He who looks inside, awakens," - Jung.

Take each person in the dream and honestly ask yourself what they are to you - good, bad, kind, mean, smart, egocentric, etc. Then realize that each of those aspects are part of you. Now look at what they are doing in the dream. See if you can draw any conclusions from that trait doing that action. Start with Bill since he is a main character here. All the while keeping in mind that a plane is not a plane but simply a symbol of something else. Complicated, I know. Most people bail out at this point. It's hard to convince people that we all contain every aspect of human behavior - from the very best to the very worst. It's just that good people don't act out the bad. But if you repress the bad without acknowledging it within you, you end up with other problems. There is no one right interpretation of a dream, only ones that feel right to you.

On the surface, I'd say you are pushing too hard at making something happen in your life. The plane - the vehicle you are now traveling in - needs a skin on its frame to fly. But an aspect of yourself has stripped it off. You need to look at how you are dealing with things in general right now. Perhaps you need to slow down a bit until all aspects of yourself are ready to advance. And I say this with no knowledge of what's happening in your life so I could be totally wrong.

Can o' worms.... but you asked... ;)

So if you dreamed about a 1972 Citroen that couldn't go 60mph but that could turn a million miles, then it indicates that you're probably a tantric love god who can bang from the chandelier for three days straight???

Just asking.....

In all seriousness Tom, I think you have nailed it down. I have alot on my plate right now. Besides my imediate family, I am also taking care of my mother who since Aug 08 has been totally disabled. I feel like for the past year I have been doing everything for everyone else and nothing for myself. The Aero has been my attempt to get back just a hair of selfishness to feed my own personal desires. To be honest, I don't think it matters if it's Autocross or flying, but I am pushing real hard to give myself something that won't disrupt my responsabilities at the moment.

When I step back and think about it, there will be another opportunity in the future for this. I just need to wait until I have some space on my plate.

Thanks Tom...

Your reply was exactly what I was looking for.

The rest of the post was just a cheap way for me to say Hello to all you knuckleheads out in Solo Land... :D

@ Ekstrand
Brilliance has always shown through in very odd ways. You always have to look twice at those who stray from the norm. First impressions in this matter never tell the whole story...

Sounds like the BBQ/racing event was fun. I'm jealous.

@ Sebatian

Should I share the details about the dreams that you have been in? LOL, or should I keep that between you and I... ahahahahaha...

Tell Shawna and David I say Hi!

@ Mako

Always subtle, but always to the point and stright up with images. It's true, pictures are worth a thousand words.

It means two things:

1. Seek professional help.
2. You're Bill's new co-driver.
2.a. See 1.

Jeff, family is #1! My younger brother and I went through several years taking care of our dad who was largely independent (independently large??) It's worth the effort.

Do remember to take care of yourself though. I adopted a pretty good vitamin regimen that let me survive all kinds of cold and flu seasons without getting whacked, despite long stretches of sleep deprivation.

If you ever have a chance to come join us - even for an hour or two - you know we'd love to see you (where "see" = "heckle".)

Ok - I had a weird dream last night and I ask Mr. Tanquary to translate.

Sebastian Rios had been kidnapped by a topless Gwenn Stefani driving a German WW2 era halftrack, and I'm standing there with a gun, but I can't figure out which one of them to shoot!

I kid you not, that was my dream last night!

Why do you want to shoot either of them?

The short answer is don't shoot Gwenn. Your inner feminine power (insert joke here) is raging with power and for men that's a good thing. It foretells an ability to use cunning and cleverness to get what you want.

I'm going to start charging for this.

If Gwen is Max's feminine power, does that mean I'm his masculine power? :mrt:
