Courses *can* be set up quicker, but top quality courses take a lot of thought and effort, not just from a designer but from the whole setup team. Glad you could see behind the scenes there Mike. Your effort probably exposed you to a level of mental preparation that most people don't understand for the first year, or longer.

Thank you for taking the time to film Mako.

My car number was 600 (SM Novice), I didn't see it in your videos, or I might have missed it.
Paint your car school bus yellow and you can just scroll through at max speed and still find all the instances of your car, haha.
Which is an interesting thought right up until the point where you realize that:
A: your car is school bus yellow     j/k
B: one of your runs is piggy backed onto the second half of Gary Thomason's video (Aaron, you might want to go watch a couple of Gary's videos)

Since you already have that color covered, and me being new and not wanting to step on the veterans toes, I think id rather go with something along these lines of this color.

Then id be able to find myself day AND night.

It was an eye opening experience. Going from scratch to a technical course, and then running it on Sat/Sun, was inspiring. I hope to be more involved in the future. 8-)

Thank you very much Mako.

It's very interesting to see where improvements can be made.

I wanted to say thanks to a bunch of people from the 8/22 practice who took time out of the last practice before nationals to help a newby like myself. I had a bunch of help, but special thanks to Jason Flores for riding with me and providing two great rides. The lessons helped, but also showed how much further I have to go! Lily Liu also provided me some eye opening rides that helped me refine my line further! After help from Jason and Lily I was able to get from a start of 70.2 seconds down to 66.33... that's 5%. If I can keep getting 5% better, I might some day be able to get the hang of this!

Cheers!
