I just like typing 900+ft lbs....
And then thinking that 3-4 of those trucks could out torque the ENTIRE ST field at Nationals......

I generally try to drive my truck for maximum gas mileage.... That would be my real reason for chipping it. The thought of 900ftlbs is intoxicating, but what would I do with it? I can already leave 200 feet of dual stripes. I can already beat ricers up the onramps. I can already chirp the 1-2 AND the 2-3 shifts. And get 19mpg highway non-towing, and when called on handles 17Klbs trailer just fine on the grades.
Maybe I could beat up on Suburu's at the drag strip? That would make it worth it. }:)

This would be totally do-able ... towing the Miata behind our support van
... this one just uses those Rhino ramps

Mako, just keep in mind that you're adding a lot of mass to the whole rig without adding any additional braking tires or any weight/downforce onto the existing braking tires. Keep a very good eye on the tow rig's brakes and maybe upgrade to some stickier tires.
Has anyone added trailer brakes to a dolly? Seems like that would add braking and the rotational force would push down on the dolly's tongue, adding downforce to the towing rig's rear axle.

They are available with surge or elec brakes:

Mark Sipe use to tow his Z4 and RX-8 on a tow dolly that had brakes.
But with as much as one of those cost, I would look for a light single axle trailer.

The Z06 has a hitch, just get a big enough tire trailer for both sets of wheels/spares/tools and drive both cars to the event?

Like the diamond plate trailer John Ames towed behind his Z06.
