I saw Rad put his 4 race wheels and jack in his old 997 GT3 RS.

No back seat in the RS, this would be a little more difficult in a regular 911.

yeah, but 993's and even '99 996's have alot less tire than a 997 GT3 RS...

I think a 986 Boxster S is still a very competitive car in the current AS, certainly near as good/better than the 993. A base Cayman is even better with all the right parts, IMHO. If the LSD actually becomes an option in the non-S cars next year, a base Cayman is arguably the best AS car. All this assuming AS stays the way it is.
I would also expect the Boxster/Cayman to be better in the rain than the 993. Probably second only to the STi/Evos.
The 993 is still a sweet ride though. And you should take into consideration PCA classing, which has disadvantaged the 986/030 cars (at least down here in Z8, I think you're Z6).
I've seen 4 wheels/tires, jack, tools and several pieces of luggage fit into a 996/GT3. I'm sure you could find a way to get wheels/tires into a 993, but moving them around won't be the easiest... I use to drive the Spyder to events with 4 whees/tires, jack and tools, even with the top up...

245/18 front, 285-305/18 rear, is still a lot of tire to fit in a 911. The RS ones are taller, 19s, but about the same width.
