Last minute reservations - I also just got the Doubletree (my favorite one down there) for $60 on priceline. Put in Mission Valley, 3 1/2 stars.

We only use about $16 worth of gas for a round trip to CA Spdwy ... but it's the two extra total hours of driving ... especially when one is opening Gate that is the killer. Might have to go for a hotel again with those prices. Thanks George!

Kinda funny.... I would rather drive far...... as I love all these freeways...

I will keep this better bidding and priceline site for price checking...... I found a decent hotel near to where I am storing my Z06 for the next 3-4 months here.

Nice find Mako.

But someone didn't listen his/her mom. I can hear her now.........PUT THE LID DOWN ON THE TOILET SEAT!

Yeah, I really like that hotel. Joey didn't. He ended up on the sofa bed and didn't get much sleep. :?

BTW, It's safe to go all the way down to a 2.5* hotel in that area. The one crappy hotel at that bid level was recently removed from Priceline. It fittingly converter to a Motel 6.

Yes, I very much enjoyed it. I usually race on A6's or V710 so hated running on street tires ( spoiled - well, try run a 450+ hp car hard on street tires... it sucks ).... but learned how to control that beast. The first time I spun I just touched the throttle a bit and the back end came out.... the afternoon got warmer that I could feather the peddle a bit more...... but that car needs sticky tires.

The lot is about 4 times as big as one we have used.. I like that.... as my Mustang hates small lots...... like being a tiger in a cage.

Thanks for the warm welcome.....

Ok, I merged a few of these Priceline thread together to make a general thread for posting up your priceline bids for our events. Came up because I started trying to bid on a Hotel for the tour in SD, $50 for a 3 star failed. Try again once I hit 24 hours.

Aaron, before you try again, speak with me on Sunday so that I can give you some pointers. Or go to this website and learn. In for the San Diego area there's no need to wait 24 hours. With just a bit of planning, you can probably place 20 bids in a sitting if need be.
