Yes, the bar code thingie would be a very good addition. Vancouver jumped onto the band wagon probably about 10 years ago and Calgary followed a couple of years later. What it seemed to do was take some of the stress away from the timing/scoring people......a good thing.
They were seemingly not too substantial an addition but the effect was immediately noticeable. Just one suggestion: Calgary skimped and bought one with a cable...and later bought the cordless one. Save yourself the misery and simply get the cordless one(s) - good to have at least one spare.

Bar code is already on the list of things I was planing on buying this year. Already looked at several and had input from some that have done it. And so you don't lose it, we will be tatooing it behind your left ear.......
