I nearly drove into a post today when I came home from work because I took the corner into my parking spot too hot and my cell phone went flying off the console under my feet!

That would've been embarrassing.

I wear Dave's old socks for luck.

I did not even know it was there, I thought it went under the seat... Only the clutch and gas go to the floor, so the brake never even got close.

Watching the feet video again I notice Jason's heels almost locked together, aside from when he's shifting. Interesting. I do this with my PC racing sims, but can't get left foot braking to work on a real car. Their long travel non-linear brake pedals feel totally awkward for my left foot, which is better served bracing me via the dead pedal anyway.

I'll have to try LFB again sometime, making sure to anchor my heels in one spot.

How the hell do you take the corner to your parking spot too hot? Were you trying to drift into it ala Ace Ventura or something?

Needless to say, he did quite a bid a damage to the bed during his run, lots of outtie dents.

Years ago I was at an Alpha Romeo club event at Buttonwillow when a friend came in off the track in his Acura NSX. He got out of the car and said, "I heard a lot of banging in back, I think the rear suspension is broke." I walked to the back of the NSX and saw large dents in both sides of the aluminum rear quarter panels of his car. I told him to open his trunk. We found his portable air tank. Rumor has it that the body shop charged him close to $10K to fix those aluminum quarter panels.

Isn't the trunk in the front of an NSX?

There's a compartment in back, behind the engine.

Well, now I don't feel so bad about the huge pigeon that attacked me a about a month ago during a run at El Toro...................

or maybe it was a white towel that was FIRMLY wedged between the passenger seat and center console and somehow became airborn.

The worst is when crap flies INTO your car during a run.

This past weekend in San Diego I almost pulled a [insert driver name here] when I watched something fly into my car and blew my braking zone. I ended up cooking the fronts at the last second and hit a cone to avoid a DNF.

now I don't feel so bad about the huge pigeon that attacked me

I paid that bird $20 worth of birdseed. Glad to hear I got my money's worth.
