Well my car isn't worth the metal in it's frame with a shot transmission and all the other little quirks it has. And I think the bugeyes are the best looking subies this millennium.

So yes, I could get a decent STi for around 10k. And I could probably get 4k for my WRX. I think I can probably do this for under 10k and I'd rather keep my bugeye and push it to 300hp with a 6mt and STi suspension. I actually orignally bought the car 6 years ago with the intention of doing and STi swap, but never had the money. I've weighed the options and if I can afford to do this, it would get me a little sleeper, a good autocrosser, and another 5 years out of my WRX. Maybe by then they'll come out with an aniversary STi version of the '02 design. But I kinda doubt it, lol.

I'll ask Team Blew Founder Norm. There was a very busy garage near where he use to work that specialized in putting Turbo engines into older Imprezas.

You could also consider buying Jeff Barco's National Championship winning STX WRX. It's perhaps the best handling WRX evar ... with super custom Koni racing shocks ... four way adjustable perhaps?

Yeah, I called GT and they told me 13k, which is a bit higher than I can probably afford. I'll keep them in mind though. Maybe I could get a referral discount? Lol

So noone has had any dealings with subietech headquarters?

Talk to Jamie Lessie at Monster Miata (google them for contact info). They might be able to give you a better price. They're putting a rotary engine into her Miata Challenge track car (instead of the usual V8's that Monster Miata is famous for). But of course Jamie works there, Steve O is doing a lot of the work and she looks a LOT cuter then you, plus she does her own welding! :D
