Therefore, by the end of the day on March 4th the ProSolo Series Rules posted at http://www.scca.com/contentpage.aspx?content=61" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will be changed to reflect a class points system that I will summarize here:
• The Zone Championships (Atlantic, Mid-America, Pacific) will continue as previously described in the Rules, including the points schedule (20-16-13-etc.), scoring (best 2 events of the first 3), and which events are assigned to each Zone Series.
• The class points accumulated by a competitor in a Zone Championship (best 2 of 3) will be carried into the Finale event.
• Zone Class Champions will be awarded 5 bonus points if they participate in the Finale event.
• The class leader in each Heat of the Finale event will receive 10 bonus points.
• The class points schedule for finishing position at the Finale event will be double the points schedule for Zone Championship events (40-32-26-etc.).
• The Finale entry requirements (Section 20.10.A.2) will remain the same.

I will try to muddy it up. It seems to me that this last move is a very good one. You can now run a Pro as a single event, as a regional series, or nationally.
When you run an event, you will get your class points. 20 for 1st, 16 for second, 13 for 3rd. Etc. Just like before.
If you run at least 2 out of 3 events in your region ("zone") you will be considered to be running in the Zone Championship. The person with the most points in that class in that zone, will win.
If you also run the Finale... you will carry your previous points... just like prior years. The finish in the Finale will be worth double points.. so first place is 40 points, second is 32. Etc.
PLUS... if you are running the Finale and won your Zone... you automatically get 5 additional bonus points.
PLUS... every leader of the class, at end of each of the three heats, will be awarded 10 more points. This could really mix things up.
