Actually, I ran against Jerry Jenkins in San Diego. It wasn't THAT much of a gap...and I was on street tires, being the forward thinking guy that I am.

Ed avert your gaze from the NB Miatas and look toward Z3M, I think that might a bit tougher than the Miata.

Actually, I'm not running in ES anymore
OR the coming E-Street. So it don't matter. It's A Mod for me! Go BIG or go home!:gpower:
P.S. "Avert your gaze"? Do you really talk like that? }:)

So, assuming this happens...do we just trash all the RT and SK classes because they're no longer needed, or use some version of them to consolidate poorly supported classes? Speaking as a GS guy who's often running in a class of one, but too slow to do Pax.

As planned, the RT classes would sunset. The SK classes already have. But you raise a good point. Wouldn't it be ironic if, in their haste to attract new blood to the sport, they lost those that have contributed to building it. I don't include myself in the latter since I've only been on the scene for 2 years or so. But I AM starting to wonder about how best, within budget, to fill my need for speed.

Ed I think FM\KM are probably the cheapest fast cars to race, but both require you to transport them.

Dude! I transport mine NOW, although I wonder why at times. :ibrightdea:
Actually, if I could afford it, I'd drive what the Schillings are driving.

I'd rate CM higher.

Drove one when a certain Stanley Kowalski still had his in CS. They're very quick.

Puertas - Quit doing that. I had just about weaned myself from Apex Speed.
KJ - I beat CM some of the time and having driven them, KM feels faster.

F125 is faster, unless the site is really bumpy.
Just join the "SCCA Solo C Modified (CM)" group on Facebook. It will save you time spent searching Apex Speed.

Bobby Beyer wrote:So what's with the gutting of D Stock? It seems like a pretty big jump to pull all the RWD cars out of DS and throw them in FS. Also given the performance characteristics of the old REX vs the new one if that goes through it might be time to drop that car into G Street.
What was SAC thinking??? Just a blanket statement to move all RWD cars out of DS, and throw them in FS. So the E9x 335i will be running against E9x M3??? There were several good examples that this isn't going to work. End of 2009 and first few events of 2010, Michael Oest (in his E90 M3, AS) and I (in my E92 335i, FS) were very competitive
after indexed. Comparing raw times, he had beat me at least 1.5 seconds almost all the time. How is that possible for the 335i to be competitive against the M3? What about the E9x 328i? Do they really think that a 328i can compete with an M3? What a joke!!! :barf:

Don't forget that none of this is official...Don't throw your cars away or buy new ones just yet. The SEB is not doing much more than throwing darts with these proposed classifications.
They really need input, write letters!

I wonder if they'll change the indexes. They've proposed bumping the MS-R and ZOK into BS which, as it stands now, shows them needing to pick up ~.7s on a 60s course to keep the same PAX time after index. I'm not complaining, they're my two biggest competitors.
