There are 72 entries as this is written. I'm waiting to be the 80th entry. Really. Even though I'm not competitive or worthy of running with the Big Dogs, it will be a nice Fall road trip. We've actually got our RV Park reservations confirmed. Just need an event that is not cancelled.

Ed - you need to sign up now. They need to know that you will go.

We have until "8 AM CDT, Thursday, Oct 17th" according to Brian Harner. What's the rush? ;)

I really don't understand why you just don't sign up. Please explain to me why that's a bad idea for you, or do you just like messing with everyone?

Not wanting to usurp the King of "messing with everyone", it's done.

Not for us. From Apple Valley, we're halfway there. ;) And besides, it's not the destination, it's the journey.
Of course, we're not even AT 80 people. Just 73. So all this might be moot.

Just so everyone is clear; spoke with Howard today and he said there has to be 80 adult entrants. The Jr. Karters don't "count" because of worker assignments. So yes, that means if Steve Eckstrand enters, it doesn't count (sorry, thought I was on Facebook there for a minute).

Enter early and often folks! We're 10 away still and the decision will be made Wednesday morning, Central time, according to Howard.

I've looked into that too. From where I'm coming from cant get to St George airport until 1pm on Sat. Looking at a Vegas flight option, but can't pull that trigger till after the deadline, as I can't strand myself there. :(

I'm pretty good at math. its 6 hours towing each way for us, and you're only an hour closer. That is not half way.

Ah, but the distance traveled in one hour in the LA area vs 1 hour in the dessert........... or Ed upgraded his motor home to a Tardis. It's all about the space time continuum or something like that. :?

The "space time continuum" mobile is idling. ;)

Entries without kids included are sitting at 76.

Remarkably, I wanted to go to St. George. Blame Will and Stacey for this one.

Good news! Just got this from Brian:

"Hi, Everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that we have reached the 2pm deadline to reach 80 entrants for this event. At this time there are 83 entered for the event which means we are a go for the event. We have charged everyones credit card to try and make sure people were not registering just to make the numbers. We have also changed the event so that anyone that registers from now until the close online will be charged immediatly. As a reminder if you know anyone that decides they can come after the online registration closes they can registration on site on Friday at the trailer with no late fee charged.

Tracy and I look forward to seeing you all in Utah in a little over a week.

Brian Harmer"

Ya, I just received an email receipt for my payment. Never have I driven so far knowing I'll be in last place. Hey, it's a road trip and a chance to take the motorhome out of mothballs. It will be fun. :gpower:
