Okay, get this. I'm skimming autotrader.com for another CRX si, when I see one that's newly listed. I click on it and immediately notice that there's a dent in the exact location where my original quarry had one. So I blow up the pictures and go thru the rest. The car also has no interior door panels and non-stock seats, just like the one I was looking at. The wheels start spinning, and now I'm thinking that the guy who bought "my" CRX is flipping it for $700 more than the guy who was originally selling it. There was no VIN, so I can't check for sure yet. But if it's true, it's hilarious...except for the fact that I might have to pay more for "my" car.
Anyway, I was willing to shell out $2000 for it originally, so I think I'm still game, assuming everything checks out. But this time I'm not gonna dally.
Hey Curt, the car's in Redlands. Isn't that close to you? Do you have a trustworthy mechanic out that way who could check the car out for me?
